Controller Input Lag problems for anyone?

My girlfriend and I tried playing it Co Op online. First I was host…and I had no input lag at all…but she said it was delayed for her. To the point of where she couldn’t aim properly. So I had her host it instead…she said it completely fixed her problem…but then I had the input lag. Anyone else having this issue? This happened to us last night…so we stopped playing and tried again today in hopes that it would not do it again. But it is. We’ve played several games online together and never had this issue before.

She also restarted her router and her xbox and everything. Just wondering if anyone else having this issue or know of a fix?

Have you never played a Halo game CO-OP over XBL? It has always been that way.

That’s not controller input lag… That’s internet connection lag.

Powercycling all your devices might help.

This.

having the same problem, seems to be no fix

> Have you never played a Halo game CO-OP over XBL? It has always been that way.

never had the problem before. ever. not in any Halo game. ever. Not in any game online co op. ever.

It’s not internet lag. its input lag. You move the stick…nothing happens for a second…then after a second, the animation happens…as with jumping, shooting, etc.

I’ve not come across this issue in any other game.

We tried that and we made the router to OPEN NAT type. And no luck. It’s not the internet. Something is wrong. This is the only game this has ever happened on.

I have had this issue as well.
There have been some other issues as well with the co-op.
Hope 343 will have an update to fix this.

Thank you! Finally, someone says they have had the same issue. I’ve been losing my mind trying to find any kind of news or updates on this. Thought it was only us for some unknown reason.

I’d like to add that this has only happened to me in this Halo.
Never had it in any other Halo.

Same here. And it’s not like it’s only kinda noticeable input lag. It’s bad. It makes it unplayable.

Sometimes the non-host spartan will fall through the ground. But on the hosts side the non-host’s spartan is firmly on the ground. lol

We’ve not gotten that far to see things like that lol. She can barely navigate where she is going because the lag from when she presses a button or moves the stick is so delayed.

Im having the same problem. I haven’t tried hosting yet but still. It’s like the framate slows down when trying to move or something and it makes it very unplayable.

It is internet lag. Halo 3 barely had it sometimes. Reach has it real bad, and firefight has the same issue. Unless you and the people you’re playing with have a great connection with each other you will experience this. I have very few friends with which I can play co-op with without that delay. This is only in Halo games though.

Me and my friend have this aswell they did seem to fix it in reach but they need to fix it in this aswell

It is not the internet. We adjusted everything we possibly could for the internet. I know what you’re talking about with Reach’s Firefight…and this is not the same. Everyone seemed to be affected in FF. This is only affecting her. And only her controls…nothing else in her game is lagging at all except the fact that it’s not responding to whatever she is inputting on the controller. The camera doesn’t keep up with her input…nor do any of the button responses.

I’m hoping there is a fix soon, because the reason we purchased this game was to play online co-op.

I love reading people’s replies acting like know it alls saying it’s Internet lag. It’s not. It’s the equivalent of running a resource hungry game on a crappy pc.

Everyone I have talked to has stated the same thing, it’s very sluggish when you’re not the host, almost nauseating, it’s simply not enjoyable if you’re not host.

I have all of the halo games and I have never seen it act like this. My friend and I ran some tests when we had the input lag we switched through ALL of the games and switched between being host and only on halo anniversary did we have this issue.

I told my friend it feels like when you drive a car in APB: reloaded. which means that I’m not playing my halo character on my xbox and then it tells the host what I’ve done. instead it feels like I’m playing halo anniversary through my friends xbox. so I’m telling my guy look left and I have to wait for my xbox to send a signal to my friends xbox saying look left and then it has to send a signal back to my xbox telling me that it turned that’s what I think is going on with the game.

YES! I am constantly experiencing that awful delay while (trying) to play in co-op mode. I’ve even went so far as to make sure that my XBox 360 has a reserved IP addr and opened all of the ports Microsoft says to have open. No effect.

Sometimes Halo 4 shows me with “Open NAT”, other times it’s set at “Moderate NAT” - no idea why. This is SO FRUSTRATING 343, can’t you guys do something about it???
