I’m not sure either, since 343i will never tell us what their updates fix we will never know. You also have to think about it like this. There are people who will say Halo has no aim assist, do you believe them too?
Trust me, you’re not the first person to show that AA tracks without touching the right stick. I’ve seen several videos on it. However, making this thread and debunking the general handful of myths just makes it that much easier to refer people to this topic, so hopefully people will believe it now. People just want to be in denial or something, or have serious desync issues, because AA does always work, but might just be desynced. Your videos prove that.
That’s the point, yet people will still try to find another whole to you know what. I mean, just look at some of the ones here. Still can’t believe that one guy first thought I was showing AA on PC and then tried to say I rigged the video.
Okay, I see a lot of showcases doing this and thinking it’s tracking so let me explain.
That’s normal. You don’t even have to move backward slowly. Moving around or nudging the right stick gives you reticle stickiness.
All of those videos showing the reticle tracking on its own overlook the possibility of controller drift. Any slight movement and the stickiness turns on.
Have you tested how effective this is in an actual gunfight?
I’ll show you give me a sec to get a clip out. Mind you it’s 10:30 pm where I’m at so it will be a minute.
If you’re up to it, you can join them in a custom match if they’re up for testing it in action
either its desync or it’s a byproduct of an active sbmm (tinfoil hat time) that decides whether or not you should have AA
That won’t be awkward or anything.
I’ve used the warthog turret on real player enemy targets and AA did all the work for me. I only had to do a final nudge to follow for the kill as they move out of AA range
That’s a big tinfoil hat to believe 343 made AA a rigged toy crane game in that sense, but after seeing how scummy 343 has been, it would be in the ballpark. SBMM antihandicap. M&K has anti-aim assist on snipers that push the reticle away from heads. Anything is plausible in a game so buggy, it’s hard to tell
Funny you mentioned that, I did in SWAT not too long ago. One of the best SWAT games I had and I will say it was much much MUCH easier than on KBM. Also keep in mind, controller is plug and play meaning no settings were adjusted. You can see the game on tracker and it’s obvious which game it was. But here…

KDA 13
Kills 22
Deaths 9
Most damage dealt in game, 2075
Least damage taken in game, 825 (I lied, just saw one guy on my team took 681 damage)
x6 double kills
x1 triple kill
1x overkill
This makes my 2nd game played in matchmaking with a controller, it was very easy.
Ah yes. 2 good games on controller means it’s op.
Idk, maybe it’s just me, but I’d befriend anyone over a fight or debate for the sake of science, if both parties are mature. A little competitive rivalry never hurts. Used to have “friends” on old Xbox Live just to argue with and kill each other, but it was good times. I don’t think it’s awkward to test theories with a rival party. Someone will be wrong and you both learn something of value.
that’s the argument every time wait till that SBMM kicks in
It’s my second time EVER using controller online in Halo Infinite, yeah I’d say it’s pretty OP. I’m not new to controller, but I sure am not used to LT for zoom, I’m old school and prefer a stick click for zoom. But like I said, it’s plug and play.
Anyone else getting a chuckle from all these back and forth iterations of the same pointless discussion?
Well, I’d be up to it if it was at a better time. I’m trying to fall back asleep.
its good times lol just chillin hitting my vape and debating and waiting for my power to go out
That’s fair. It’s late for me too, but I’m curious what comes of this thread, so I’ll check it tomorrow. Testing stuff like this is just as useful as trying theories, sandbox mechanics, glitches, and speedrunning theories, so I’m all for anyone mythbusting or testing bugs if we get solid proof of it.
If there’s a real issue, it’s just up to getting 343 to eventually do something about it, if they ever get around to it. I just truly believe 60% of all bugs posted on these forums are all netcode desync related
Where are you located? I’m east cost but looking for some UK people to test the high ping theory.
343i main focus is their store.
I’m out of town for a week and unfortunately missing Tenrai because of it, but I’m EST timezone. If you want to test high ping, block nearby Azure servers in your router
