I just watched from the 23 min mark and it’s silly. Standing like that will get you killed easy. Try doing it while also strafing to get a more accurate feel for how aim assist works.
Also the range makes all the difference. When your far enough, the strafe becomes minimal so aim assist is more effective to use. In close range it’s horrible when both players are strafing because you constantly enter and leave the aim assist zone making the aim incredibly inconsistent.
A fair test needs to both palyers strafing and aiming.
the PC (or MnK) vs controller debate isn’t really what matters here, BR (because of the huge amount of aim assist/magnetism) is a breeze to use, which lowers the skill gap and also hurts great MnK players.
Took controller shield down, AA still worked
Melee controller player then jumped controller, AA worked in range but when out of view it doesn’t, which makes sense.
Melee KBM player and jumped KBM player, AA worked same as above.
No I just watched it. Get into a custom game with someone and try it. You can’t get the strafe in sync and say aim assist is strong.
Aim assist will be there but it won’t be as easy as it may seem, micro adjustments are hard on controller and once you snap out of the aim assist zone it becomes difficult to get back in properly
Glad to see this is false. Aim assist works like a champ no matter what, so the only issue with it might just be desync I guess. Idk what truly causes the alleged random aim assist not working issues people keep mentioning.
Because everybody can say whatever they want. Hell, there’s people here who never touch KBM but will claim nothing is wrong.
But he could be desync, not saying it’s not but watch any of the controller pro players and you’ll catch them over aiming a bit but they can correct it.
My stats are public, but I only played one game with controller in crossplay ranked. All other games have been KBM.
I’m not claiming the aim assist is aim bot but, it is pretty close to it and I just proved it. It looks like a cheat/hack. What I showed also holds weight against the accuracy stats that were put together. So, if you really want an even playing field, it’s clear that the aim assist needs to be toned down. With resources like those accuracy stats and my video here, it’s pretty hard to deny that.
Besides doing testing with controller in custom games, this is the first time using a controller with Halo Infinite online in crossplay ranked. All games before and after this was on KBM…

KDA 17
Kills 28
Deaths 11
Accuracy 55.36
Had the most damage delt in that game, 6547 and least amount of damage taken, 3824
Keep in mind, that’s the first game I used a controller with and it was plug and play. Meaning I didn’t adjust ANY controller settings.
