Controller exposed - Video

man wtf is that??? I thought controller had no aim assist on sniper but this is stupid. Everyone check it out at the speed he said.

Bro. It’s lucid. He’s a pro. ItzTheDay has used controller only twice for infinite. I can’t believe we’re still talking about this.

i know he is amazing but its not a question of his skill. He clearly is a pro for a reason.Did that one -Yoink!- seem fair to you? Just watch it on 0.25 in 00:15. That -Yoink!- was ver questionable.

The sniper is a projectile based weapon. Shots like that happen.

Not on mnk. Projectile or not that -Yoink!- was nowhere near that player. Projectile means you need to lead your shots but thats not what that was.

And how would you know that? It can’t be that hard to land a -Yoink!- like that on MnK.

Why are they censoring s h o t?

I would know that because i use mnk only. You need to be pixel perfect accurate for shots to register with the sniper on mnk.

No you don’t. You have the same level of bullet magnetism that controller does.

It just the friction that’s missing.

I dont know what to tell you i have never ever killed a guy with a sniper without the reticle being directly on top of him with pixel perfect accuracy. You should try mnk and see for yourself man. Im just curious whats your view on this? Do you think controller is balanced as an input?

i miss frosty’s no scopes from H5

Why would you miss controller being that op?

I’m glad you asked.

Controller was designed to go up against controllers and Mice were designed to go up against mice. I see crossplay as a nuisance. I’m kinda old school. Ever since crossplay was implemented, it’s caused nothing but arguments and debates.

I don’t think controller or mice are in positions to be deemed OP because they really weren’t designed to play together in the first place.

Very mature point of view. However halo infinite was designed with crossinput in mind. I never once said controller is too easy. I said its easy when facing an mnk player. I will admit that controller is harder in infinite than in mcc but its still so much more reliable than mnk. I dont want controller to be dominated by mnk and i dont want mnk buffed to the point where noobs can be effective. What i want nerfed on controller is the consistency when using a battle rifle. I want it to be as hard as mnk when trying to get perfects with it. Halo is such a great franchise and deserves much more recognision on pc market. In order for that to happen mnk needs to be competitive. If not the no mnk player who wasnt a big fan of halo prior will even take the game seriously as an esport.

TF are you on about there was no M&k in H5 i just miss the sniper being an effective weapon period, H inf.'s is poo even compared to the one in H3 or CE

I know there was no mnk but snipes werent even that exciting in h5 when you know how easy it is to get them. In my oppionion it was much more rewarding to watch snip3down getting insane snipes back in og h3 where the game was actually hard as it was played in 30fps and when you got snipes like that you were insane. I actually played a ton of every halo game on release and moved on mnk after halo 5 so i know how hard it is or not in every halo game.

I also play Destiny 2 on the Series S on controller. In that game aim assist on controller is at the very least 3x stronger than in Halo Infinite. So strong, that some people want a slider to lower it: You’re shooting one player and he’s almost dead, then someone walks past your view and the reticle gets completely dragged from the player you were shooting and you end up dying because of it.

Yet, when Destiny 2 came out on PC, the majority of top tier players jumped to M&K and never even looked back to controller. And still this game is considered better on M&K than on controller, even though the aim assist on controller is so much stronger than Infinite.

I’m not denying Halo Infinite plays better on controller than on M&K. But I just feel that aim assist is not what makes Infinite play better on controller. I don’t know what causes this, but seeing the experiences on Destiny 2, something else must be going on (I feel).

So you found out a console FPS is using aim assist when using a controller to balance the disadvantage you have when using an input device with a range of barely a cm in radius… “*slowclap”

Get rid of crossplay all together… so I don’t have to play against users with 160 fps, the ability to uturn in 0.2 seconds and potential cheaters. The PC users don’t have to live with the crazy aim assist.

Beside: these comparison videos are useless because it feels completely different when you actual play the game.

I’m not trying to be rude, I don’t know what it’s like to M&K but this is like all I hear PC players complain about.

I’m not sure it’s a serious issue, but I WILL say the PC players I’ve played against (which occupied onyx and diamond) didn’t need aim assist -in fact, their long range game on m&k is insane and NO controller can contend -m&k -Yoink!- range CQB ability in a gunfight is unparalleled compared to controller, their ability to spin around and melee is outrageous.

PC has all the advantages of superior equipment in terms of FPS.

Tactics slayer (SWAT) is literally unplayable with wall hackers.

Cheating is prevalent, where without PC there wasn’t an issue beyond development errors/glitches or exploits. (Actual cheating)

It’s hard to take anyone seriously on this subject when mostly nobody on controller wants to play with PC anyway.

Make crossplay a toggle and then I say give PC anything they want, flying warthogs/aim bots/wall hacks and all. -which -Yoink!- be hard since they already have aim bot and wall hacks already…

I know this, and I can tell you that is not how it is on KBM. You would not get rewarded the kill for a missed -Yoink!- on KBM because it is simply a missed -Yoink!-. Then again, how would I know right?

I play on controller, and in my experience aim assist pretty much shuts off with lag. Not sure why, but I have plenty in low latency games, and basically none in high latency games.
