I need to know if anyone else is facing this issue. My Xbox One controller was working fine until I started to play a Warzone Match. It now tells me it is "disconnected " ONLY when I am in a match, any game. I can navigate the menus, play other games, go to Netflix, and anything else just fine. Tech support wa s no help. And it does this for ALL of my controllers. This only happens when playing a multiplayer or campaign mode Halo 5 match. Anyone else have this issue?
I have this same issue. Ill go to play a game, and it will say that my controller has been disconnected. The controller is still on and working, but it disconnects from Halo 5. Immediately after that it boots me from the game and says that I have disconnected from the server. This is the only game it happens with and it is definitely not my internet.
I had this first time yesterday. Bought XB1 with Halo 5 about a week ago. Got about half way through campaign game and it started to continually disconnecting and would reconnect until batteries were removed and put back in. Dashboard says I have over 2/3 battery. Was using the 2x AA batteries that came with it.
Switched to my daughters official xb1 battery pack kit and it was OK. Later on in the day switched back to the original Duracell AA’s and had a 5 hour session on Fallout 4 with no disconnects.
The fact that Google came up with a search on “Halo 5 controller disconnect bug” suggests that there is possibly an issue.
I’ve never seen this personally, but I would at least suggest trying plugging in with a mini-USB cable to see if it still does it so you know if it’s a wireless issue or not. (or something interferring) Also, check in your System Settings if there are any firmware updates for your controllers. (Snap Center —> Settings —> All Settings —> Kinect & Devices —> Devices & Accessories) If you are using an old controller, you will need a mini-USB cable to update your controllers & if you are using a controller that has the built-in 3.5mm jack or newer controller then it can just do the update wirelessly over the air.
Same thing happened to me. Very frustrating.
I don’t think this is just a Halo 5 issue, I get it in Warframe and Fallout 4 too, there are threads on it on the Xbox.com support forums.
Yes!! Omg I thought it was just me. I find it’s mostly ok, how we when I connect wireless headsets to the controller it will randomly happen. ALWAYS when I’m in a damn match. I keep thinking I’m too far away from the Rv and move closer. But it never happens navigating menus or if I’m not using the headshot. No not batteries. It’s a real pain as yesterday I was on breakout and had the flag. Controller disconnected and stopped short and got killed
Its a bug in xbox one’s windows10… Nothing to do with H5 or any other game.
I have had the same issue recently so itook the xbox back for a new one and had the issue one since i have had it so i turned off some household appliances like microwave and phone have not had the problem since not 100 percent sure it is the problem
I have the same issue and also in other games. It’s only when I’m playing wireless. Tested with an other controller and still got the same problem. Turned off Wifi didn’t help.
Is my console broken or is it an Windows 10 update problem?
