The aim assist controller players get is simply way to strong, and that is saying something coming from a Destiny Trials sweat. On mouse and keyboard I felt like I was getting out gunned by Assaut Rifles every time, then I saw a video about how strong the aim assist is with controller and dusted off my Xbox One controller, that havent used since playing Halo 4 on the xbox one like 6 years ago, and immeatly started top fragging almost every game. The aim assist really needs to be truned down, I dont even have to aim, just drag the retacle over them and hole shoot and it just tracks them for me.

You are 999999999999999999999999999999999% correct, literally like master chief -Yoinking!- scoping you with a -Yoinking!- laser. It needs massive balancing

You literally have to be twice as good at aiming and 10 times as good at tracking on mnk to out due aa. Then when you manage that they complain say mnk is to strong and their need a stronger aim bot to do all the work for them.
I play KBM on 99.9% of all games I play. I’ve played Halo my entire life however, it’s always been a controller game so I still use one on MCC most of the time, the only game I still use one ever. I have 30hrs of flight time 50/50 controller and kbm. Controller AA is drastically lower than where it was in MCC, I can’t see it being any lower. Mouse feels solid, every gun outside of the BR feels better on KBM. There’s always one side complaining about the other, but rarely do any of the complaints come from anyone who puts significant hours into both to know where they actually stand; it’s constantly a grass is greener argument every time. Quite honestly the only way to make everyone happy is to keep them separate in ranked and to be able to opt out of cross input in social, done. Then the controller can have a bit more AA if people desire it, to be in line with older titles, without effecting KBM play at all.
This topic of conversation could not be more removed from reality, we don’t even know who is on kbm and controller right now.
When the game launches it will be clear who has an advantage by the distribution of inputs at all of the different ranks. If one input dominates, the other has to be calibrated appropriately - this will mean more AA or less AA.
In terms of aim assist, it is the lowest in this game it has ever been in a Halo game. That may be too high for your liking, but controller players are having a very difficult time which tells me kbm will potentially dominate in the final product, unless you guys are also finding it much more difficult than MCC. If that is the case then it may already be balanced.
From what I’ve felt playing on a controller on one s, the aim assist seems case by case depending on what weapon I’m using. AR? Absolute magnet and instant shred. Side kick sniper and shock rifle? Feels like absolutely almost none. The BR is in the middle, with hip fire feeling strong and scope feeling fairly weak.
