I can’t be the only one who isn’t satisfied with Halo 5’s selection of control schemes. With the addition of smart-scope into Halo, you have to choose between having your smart-scope as left trigger or grenade as left trigger. While grenades have always been the been a great way to get out of sticky situations, I feel that having LB as the grenade button makes it too much of a hassle to chuck your grenades in the middle of a firefight. While I used to be satisfied with the zoom button being the right analog stick. I feel that in Halo 5, the smart-scope needs to be left trigger to easily aim during firefights. What do you guys think?

For some it’s probably a harsh adjustment, but I’m sure after you get used to whatever scheme you decide to use it will just be like second nature. I play on bumper jumper, so hopefully it’s not too radical of a shift. Ideally, I would like to keep smart scope on the left trigger.
The Halo 4/reclaimer scheme is perfect for me. I’ve played on default since halo 2, this is the closest thing to classic default.
The only downside is I have to press A to jump. But every control scheme has a disadvantage to it. Bumper jumper has thrust on X for example.

This. Lack of Reclaimer was one of the reasons I didn’t enjoy H3 anywhere near as much as the others.

I believe bumper jumper maps SS to right stick.
Are they really calling that one control scheme Halo 4? Can’t they come up with a better name?

Reclaimer all day long. I tried using the default in the beta and hated it. I recently tried it again in the MCC, and using the left trigger to zoom in Halo 2 is just wrong and weird. lol

If you want to buy the 150 dollar controller. I haven’t seen anywhere that states the normal controller can be remapped.
