Control Scheme

Is there an official post showing the control scheme layout for the controller? Are we going to be able to use the left thumbstick to run? Just wondering if there was a finalized screenshot of the controls. I played the beta, but don’t remember.

Good question i also would like to know.

I believe it’s the same as the beta, but it might have a few different buttons. Nothing radically different from any other halo game.

Just wondering because I played Halo 4 multi last night and kept trying to click the left thumstick to sprint. The spring was tied to the LB button. Kept trying to reload with the ‘X’ button, but it was the RB button. Just felt weird after playing other FPS games. Was hoping they’d modernized the final control scheme in Halo 5.

As long as they have my ‘boxer’ loadout, I will be a happy camper. Switching to Halo from any other FPS i play has always taken a little to get used to, so I don’t expect anything too out of the norm.

i need ot try a new one

I hope its the same as the beta, or the same as halo 4.

I usually just look through the different maps to start and pick whichever matches my preferences the best and then adapt to it from there.

In the beta they had a control scheme similar to call of duty and other traditional fps games. You even zoomed in with LT… Weird

Bumper Jumper is the way to go, that is all I know.

All I know is they fixed Bumper Jumper. Thank you 343!

I need to learn the bumper jumper scheme… I’m glad that LT is now ADS. Don’t know how many times I’ve inadvertently thrown a grenade by pressing the LT button and thinking I’d be ADS.

There are a bunch of control schemes. Same as the beta with a few tweaks.

That said, after the November Xbox update, we’re getting button mapping, so you’ll be able to built your own control scheme to use across every FPS you play

They had most the classic schemes in the beta if I remember correctly. I used Bumper Jumper I believe…because that’s my jam.

Forgot about this upcoming feature…

There was BJ, that’s all I need

You can watch some of the gameplay videos that Youtube channels have out already… many of them go through controls.

Good point. I searched some control schemes on Google Images and it showed the LT being ADS and Left Thumbstick as run, so I’m good now, haha
