Never encountered this before, and can’t find any references to this on the forum after an, admittedly fairly cursory and quick, glance doesn’t seem to have been reported:
Joined a BTB SuperFiesta game recently and things seemed off… after a few very short lives I suddenly realised that even though on-screen button prompts were right, e.g. picking up weapons for my control scheme, almost all my buttons were doing non-normal things: melees were making me crouch, sprint made me reload, reload threw grenade… obviously just seemed like when I joined the game it swapped my control scheme.
Everything was fine the next game I joined… just seemed really wierd and couldn’t work out what caused it?
Had this happen a few times. Seems like a loading error of some kind. I wasn’t able to figure out a way to get my normal scheme working again in the same match, but everything was back to normal the next match.

It happened to me in a SuperFiesta match last night. I solved by setting, in game, another layout for the controller, returning to the match and then setting my scheme again. It’s hallucinating because for a moment you say: “What have I become, drunk?” XD
