How would one implement toggling your walk speed with a keyboard and mouse? I would suggest using the mouse wheel to toggle running speed or have the option to toggle walking and running. If anyone has further suggestions, feel free to reply.
Many games let you decide which key to use for that purpose. I think that if 343 lets you toggle walk speed, they will let us decide which key to use.

You would really need to, especially if you want to be sneaky. If memory serves me correct, you won’t appear on radar if you are slow enough.
A lot of games have it as a toggle on Caps Lock by default. The mouse wheel probably isn’t the best idea, as a lot of shooters use that for weapon switching

Usually PC shooters NEVER have a toggling key aside from 1 key (“shift” key by default) which only let’s you Sprint or walk. But you can’t really set how fast or how slower you wanna go.
As for the mouse wheel option there was this old FPSMMORPG called “Entropia Universe”. It had the mouse wheel option to walk in 4 different speeds basically as you scroll up you go faster and vice-versa

I think he means slow walk etc., or just a continous mode of movement without holding a button down.
But it will likely be alt if it’s slow walk, and caps lock if it’s continious movement.

Yup I was going to get on that but I submitted my post earlier than I could finish (accidentally :P) but what I eventually wanted to say was that you’d rarely find it in FPS games it’s available in other games for sure especially open world. I’d like to see if it makes it in-game tho

This is the most logical way to take. I usually put walk/run toggle on the left ALT key. And if they don’t add a toggle option that would be fine too imo as I use crouching to walk slow more than the dedicated toggle key in games.
