I’ve been playing Halo:Reach since it came out. I didn’t start playing online until 2015, and when I did, my rank and credits got reset back to recruit (another story). I don’t get xbox live during school time, so I usually only have it on Christmas break and the summer, so it’s taken me 3 years to get to the rank of forerunner, which forever I have been stuck as for a year. Since the game is old, lots of people seem to mod or send each other temp bans in matchmaking, and me and friends have gotten the temp credit ban time to time, especially playing griffball. Usually always after a tough game and the other team got mad that we weren’t letting them spawn trap us. Those usually lasted a few days, then I was fine.
Around last spring, some guy asked me out (I’m a girl btw) and i said no. Apparently he couldnt handle rejection, he started threatening me and said he was going to credit ban me. i started to get the temp credit ban on my console and it would last for 2 weeks each, then a fresh one would be back the next day. Every time i would go on Reach it popped up twice that my console was temp banned from earning credits. I went on my 360 to see if it was on there; it was not. I was like whatever at first, since I didn’t care about rank and i had all the armor by then. I was stuck on eclipse while the ban kept showing up, so i still played since it was fun. This lasted for 3 months before he stopped.
The bans came back around late summer. Over and over they kept coming back. still coming in 2s. once and a while it would disapear for a few hours, then come back and last another 2 weeks. I didn’t have xbox live for 5 months while i had the fall semester, didn’t play reach for 5 months, got xbox live in January, still credit banned.My freinds think its funny that i’ve been stuck as a forerunner for a year. I looked to see if I did anything to earn the bans and nothing. No emails from xbox or bungie or even 343 as to why i keep getting banned. I’ve called support and asked them, they confirmed i don’t have a console ban, its something in the game. My freind went on her account on my xbox one and we played co-campaign and matchmaking and even she wasn’t getting credits on my xbox. This is my last hope as to figure out why.
