I was wondering, if 343 has no plans for continuing the Halo Wars series, how will the storyline of the Spirit of Fire crew be continued? Plus, they did sort of leave Ellen Ander’s fate in a sort of cliffhanger with the Guardian intercepting Installation 09. I doubt they would have any of them featured in Halo Infinite since the game isn’t about them.

I have a suspicion Halo: Point of Light may provide some answers next week when it releases
The way I see it, there’s no reason to continue Halo Wars’ story because it caught up to the main conflict of the Halo games. I’m actually satisfied enough that Halo Wars influenced Halo’s direction with the Banished being an antagonist for the Chief.
I can agree that Halo Infinite most likely won’t feature the cast of Halo Wars 2, but I feel confident that there will be calls to them. Recently Jerome has been released as an action figure and I think that increases the chance he and hopefully red team will be involved to some extent.

Well we now have firmer likely answers as Halo: Divine Wind seems to be likely to be based on The Ark
I am hoping that 343 Industries will continue from where they have stopped from Halo Wars 2. At the same time, I am still hoping that Ellen Anders, James Cutter and Jerome-092 will appeared in the upcoming Halo Infinite.

I go back and forth between wanting that as well. I think that I want it but am afraid that it would be forced in if it’s not already in the plans and might distract from their own things going on in HW.
Still if Infinite is truly a 10 year project then maybe there will be time to merge or cross the stories at some point.
I’m hoping it goes into a point in Halo Infinite.
