I’ve seen a lot of complaining about being disconnected during a game either after a few seconds or randomly during the game. It continually happens to me. For all those who say that it doesn’t count as a do not finish, you are wrong, it does. I watched my do not finish climb today while i try and troubleshoot this.
Has anyone found a resolution? I use wireless, not ethernet.
i believe its open with the settings correct but don’t know how to test to make sure

While on Halo 4, press start and go down to the Network settings. Your NAT status should be displayed there.
Nat Rating is open and green

This may be the problem. I to use wireless connection and similar things happen to me as well. Unfortunately I have no clue how to fix this issue. Maybe call your Internet provider…
I’ve been down that road before. they will have me go to a few websites, turn stuff on and off, do other pointless things, say its good, and tell me the problem is Microsoft.
If there diagnostic tools that anyone knows about that can fun from a pc or something i’ll try that. anyone???

I also use Wireless, but I don’t get disconnected. Maybe try running a network test on your console. If it says there are limitations, try following the suggestions it displays.
Another thing to try is playing some other multiplayer games (like BF4, COD etc.) and see if this happens there too.
That would at least indicate if this was console - router - internet issue or a specific game issue.
Also, my nephew gets the same problem on XBL. He lives on a remote farm in Canada, and has direct WIFI internet host. Not only do they have issues with throughput and sporadic outages, but if someone in the house started using a lot of bandwidth (like iPad FaceTime conferencing), then the XBL would disconnect.
HTH…

Pretty sure it’s not this cause mine is closed, and I rarely get disconnected. Although when it does happen it is usually when both my girlfriend and I are playing.
You can also check your connection speed by running a test via speedtest.net. Depending on your upload/download speed, that could be causing your disconnects.
