I know this is a minor thing. But it’s always been annoying to ne that I cant exit on the side of the ghost (or mongoose, etc) I want. I should be able to hold the stick in conjunction with the vehicle exit button in the direction I want to depart. More often than not I’m hoping off in direct fire other than the side which would place the vehicle in between myself and my attacker.

100% agree! That would be a minor yet very welcomed change. I’ve had it a few times where I’ve exited a vehicle to close to the edge of a map and then out I go to my demise. I always thought it would be cool to exit the mongoose off the back like Cheif did back in a previous halo title. Granted this probably wouldn’t apply to a small number of vehicles (mostly aerial) but still a welcomed addition.
This would make those last minute departures when you’re either about to explode or your vehicle is on it’s way off a cliff really positive, especially if it was an honest mistake or someone trying to teamkill you.
I like this idea. I’m not a programmer or anything like that, but it sounds like it would be an easy feature to include.
They added seat switching which is wonderful so I’m sure they can do this as well.
Maybe you could hold down the direction you want to get off?
This is a good idea. I would like a feature were a dead enemy or player didn’t just teleport to the side of the vehicle and fall when they were killed. It would be cooler and more realistic if they stayed in the vehicle and would only fall out if they were actually thrown from the vehicle, instead of always falling out. Then they might be able to add an animation were the player can pull the body out before they get in.

^This. The devil is in the details!! Although I do not know how respawns affect how long a lifeless corpse would be present in the vehicle but it most certainly would be better than the usual cartwheels the deceased do
It was always based on whatever side the camera is looking, the first game don’t have anything like that, even multiple entrance/exit points for animations.
This is already a feature, though not in every Halo game. I can’t confirm if this is present in Halo 5, but it’s certainly present in Halo 2 Anniversary. The direction your camera is facing with decide if you get out of a vehicle on the left or right side. This works on Ghosts, Mongooses, Wraiths, Scorpions, and presumably the Hornet. I tried testing this in Halo 3 and it seems you always get out on the left side of the vehicle, and I have yet to test Halo Reach to see how it behaves there.

This is such a Nintendo 64 approach to the control though.

I like this. But I’m not sure it would work with rag doll physics and the vehicle moving around. Almost sounds like it would be a scripted event. But it would be bad -Yoink- to toss a slumped body out of the warthog as I hop in
