A PVE sounds like something fun, new and exciting!
Launch Site is the worst.
Not New, this is something thats been in and out of halo since ODST, but definitely fun and exciting if given good flexibility.
roadmaps don’t have to be “This is what you’re getting and when you’re getting it”
It just has to be “This is what you’re getting and this is when we hope to get it to you”
Like seriously, no one would care if something IN the roadmap got delayed unless it was forge or co-op, we would be much more happy that we actually HAD a roadmap
There already were people complaining that we didn’t get the tactical ops event yet, even though there was no official date, just some suspicions it could start after the latest iteration of Tenrai ended… So I guess people would care if 343 missed a date they did actually officially set…
That’s because we’re starved, any content that gets delayed is gonna get backlash but if we actually KNEW what was coming, I don’t think the backlash would be too severe.
Right now, we don’t know anything other than, S2 will add content, that’s it
We are still in the beta version. Unfortunately, that’s the best way to look at it right now.
Yup, the game should have been simply released and left in early access - most producers do that nowadays anyway. At least you know you’re buying an unfinished game that’s not feature-complete and is being worked on.
Come on now, this is the internet we are talking about here. A lot of folks would be upset. Even if 343 put all the disclaimers in the world on the release windows there would still be backlash for delays.
The amount of complaints I saw on this forum when 343 didn’t release the “mid-February” update on or before February 14th was a sad sight to behold (but not nearly as sad as the actual update).
I don’t know why you’re all so mad. We are getting six whole meters of content.
Pretty bad when every major Halo Youtuber, including Eckarts Ladder who also covers Star Wars, and esports players like Lucid TW are saying something. Across the board, seeing people are extremely frustrated across reddit, twitter, etc with the state of this game.
They need to get things together and start an actual live service, fast.
“Live service” was really just marketing speak and a way to cover for all the missing stuff. As with so many other things with this game, they weren’t thinking that far ahead and actually were shooting themselves in the foot.
Yeah everyone is making a big deal about it. So if the bigger guys are talking about it and the population is falling then hopefully they work fast to give us content. We’ll see
I complain the entire game playing that map.
The release dates are in the games title: INFINITE.
Infinite waiting time, trying the loyal halo community’s patience.
6 years & $500 million in development, this is what we got.
Yeah I was telling a friend about what’s going on with halo and when I mentioned their budget he looked completely shocked and didn’t understand how it’s in the state that it is.
Didnt Microsoft confirm that they made several billion just off the store or did I misread that?
The thing is, they have a bunch of modes in offline mode right now that they could add and double the amount of content we have.
But they don’t.
I don’t get it, are they stupid or just plain rotten??
Yeah I never understood the lack of basic game modes. This game should have every game mode. What happened to a Team Objective playlist?
Man, I can find some new content in Elden Ring. And RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS [Insert Obligatory Schilling here]…
In all seriousness though, 343’s dropped the ball, with the release of Halo Infinite as a barebones games, the lack of transparency, the failure in delivering on promises such as a Roadmap in January, etc. I get it, the senior leaders at 343 and shareholders in Microsoft wanted to release a “game” just ahead of the holiday season in order to compete with Battlefield and COD: Vanguard for that sweet Holiday bank. The fact that EA is blaming Halo: Infinite for their own failures (which is still find gut-wrenchingly hilarious) is apparently evidence of this kind of mindset.
Anyways, I’ve said plenty of ideas on how 343 can improve their games in other forum posts, from store adjustments to the addition of new game modes, to stabilizing connectivity so that people can actually focus on enjoying the game, to increasing the size of the battle pass, etc. At this point, I’m just going to bash on 343 until they actually produce CONTENT for the game. Not just patches or bug fixes (those things should have never been necessary in the first place).
Anyways, I’ve got Elden Ring preloaded in my PC, and I’ve seen tons of videos about the gameplay. It looks like it’s going to be absolutely awesome. At least From Software never lets us down.
Yeah 343i needs to get their stuff together. This is getting sad at this point. We need content abs we need it fast
