Contacting Server now neverending

Contacting server now neverending. Shows my status as “Offline” when attempting to look at Tier rewards. While the network settings show 32ms (US East) to 245ms (Southeast Asia) ping to MCC servers.

Did all the usual troubleshooting (checking ports, rebooting router, etc). Checked the servers as much as anyone can.

Running a 150Mb/s Internet connection so I have plenty of bandwidth.

Any suggestions for my not so “offline” PC install of H MCC?

If you are running into a Connecting Server message in MCC, try the following:

  • Open the Roster -> Click your profile -> Click ‘Change Profile’ - This should log you out. Log back in and you should no longer receive the message

Did that even before I posted.

  1. Turned off Relay
  2. Rebooted router.
  3. Checked ports.
  4. Checked firewall.
  5. Changed DNS Servers to Google
  6. Checked uptime on servers.
  7. HALO MCC for PC is up-to-date
  8. No ban noitices either

So, the servers are online but the broke client for some unknown reason can query the ping time on the servers, but can’t query matchmaking services for some reason. Before the message, I tried for 2 days to get some matches. Stuck endlessely in “searching for…”

Once HALO 6 comes out and ppl beat the game, there is only online play left. However, why by 6 (except for the story, which is debatable considering how bad 5 was) when 343 can’t solve their online problems.

There is no reason to buy Halo 6 until well after its been vetted, and at a discount. Well, at least its not Fallout 76 Worst Game of The Year Edition. However, it is headed that way.

Until the connection issues are fixed? There is no reason to buy Halo 6, as Multi-Player is the end-game content after beating the campaign story mode.
