Contact 343i? Explanation owed.

Hey guys.

So first some general info, my upload/download Internet speeds are slightly above average. My NAT is always open and I have no other problems any of the other titles I own when playing on XBL. Also, this issue has only started happening to me since the end of March.

Right now im currently reinstalling MCC for the 4th time this month. That’s right, 4 times. I keep running into the same problem of being stuck on “downloading latest data” when I try to find a game.

I have read through these forums like a book searching every thread related to this issue and I’ve tried every solution that people claimed to have solved this problem for them. I’ve reset my modem, cleared my cache, played campaign and a custom game, tried to join a friends lobby, hard reset my Xbox. Nothing works. I’ve even posted threads on the Xbox support forums trying to find answers.

Is there any way to directly contact 343i, and if there is would I even get a reply? The answer to both questions seems highly unlikely. This problem has only started happening to me within the last month and a half or so, before that I was able to put hundreds of hours and thousands of games into MCC matchmaking even in 2014 when the multiplayer was riddled with bugs.

I feel at this point that the game devs are the only people who truly know why this would be happening to me. I am literally completely unable to play the portion of the game that I spend 99% of my time playing, and I’m unable to play the game that I spend 90% of my overall gaming time playing.

In short, if this issue is going to keep repeating and I’ll never be able to play multiplayer on MCC again then fine. I can deal with that, I would go out and buy another 360 and a copy of Halo 3 just to keep playing it. But I think myself and the other people who have made topics about this issue deserve an answer about why it is happening and why it has only occurred for some of us in 2016.

It doesn’t matter if the game doesn’t make 343 money anymore, people like myself who still enjoy playing it deserve the same amount of support for MCC as it was receiving in the first weeks after it launched. If not more, because it seems they had nothing but h5 on their minds even when they were attempting to “fix” MCC

There isn’t a way to contact them directly through this site unfortunately. If there was, it would probably be flooded with hate mail. The best way to find out problems dealing with how a game is installed and such would be through Microsoft. I encounter the problem, but if I let it sit for a minute or two and then “cancel” it and click matchmaking again it allows me to play. It’s quite an odd situation, but what can ya do :confused: Good luck.

Try leaving the “Downloading latest data” message up for about 30-60 seconds, and then press B to cancel it. This is what I do and it let’s me go into matchmaking no problem. Good luck.

Pay attention to your emblem, when it says “downloading latest matchmaking data” it really is. Like the guy above said, wait a but and it will be fine. As a visual aide though, my friends emblem, who always is the second player, reverts to a generic white one while the data is being downloaded, then goes to what he changed it to when the data is downloaded.
