Constructive Criticism

Hey! Uh there is a couple of things that I quite enjoy with the most recent update. I absolutely love WZFF and the Wasp is one of my favourite reqs to use in game. It’s slow but maneuverable it has shields and light armor which is ok… But it’s kinda weak which is ok and all but I’m wondering if it could go faster? The gun overheats pretty quick and the rockets are a tad slow to reload but that’s perfectly ok. I know some people will think it’s fine just the way it is, and it’s all a matter of staying back far enough not to get destroyed right away… But with the way it plays I’d almost like to faster when using it, or for those that are fine with using it the way it is, maybe a way to zoom in with it for more presision strikes from a distance? Or maybe a variant that switches the primary gun for a Guass Cannon or a Rail gun or maybe a Spartan laser? Or a variant with something like a Hydra Launcher as a Anti Air type idea? Idk I love the Wasp but I think it has potential for Variants and maybe a increase in speed. I thought that maybe giving the Wasp an immunity to be locked on by rockets and stuff would be kinda cool but I think now that it would make the Wasp too imbalanced.

Another thing I’m kinda curious about is the Ability to buy specific cards, there are cards we get that can be quite useless in a pack especially if we can always loot those kinda weapons off of dead opponents or AI. Also being able to buy specific req cards would help out a lot with players being able to play on their strengths and weaknesses. For example some people are really good with the Sniper Rifle, others are really good in a Banshee, some are good in a Tank, and some got mad skills with a Plasma Pistol and Magnum. I just think that especially with WZFF being out that buying specific reqs would come in handy for the types of situations we encounter. There are a lot of reqs that are impractical when dealing with certain bosses for an example getting 6 Shot Guns in a random pack and than trying to use a Shot Gun against a Mythic Warden Eternal…

And if buying specific reqs adds too much imbalance to the game, maybe if we could temporarily turn off Certifications for some reqs so that way we still get random stuff just more likely to get the stuff we need. Or being able to trade reqs with fellow Spartan Company members.

I don’t know, I’m not telling anyone what to do, I’m just leaving suggestions on improvements to some things. Again this is not hate, I love the Reqs and the Content that was released. I’m not complaining or kicking up a fuss. I’m leaving this here to be constructive and hopefully attract the attention of the Devlopers and employees at 343… Which is unlikely :frowning:

I’m not bumping and just because I mention bumping doesn’t mean that was or is my intentions, and I’m not expecting very many comments on this neither am I seeking to boost my rank or whatever typical rule breakers are say or do. I’m wondering if there are any Devs or Employees looking at the Fourms? I’m wondering if someone will consider my post?

I’d love to see wasp variants, I imagine they will be coming soon because surely they wont have it as the only vehicle with no variant, and its not like they really need testing, they just need the same percentage increase as other variants get over their base vehicles… although idk what an ONI version would bring to the table…oni machine gun rounds and lock on rockets to ground vehicles as well with faster reload times?

I think buying single cards could be OP, especially people that spend irl cash on the game, but trading cards with company members could work, as long as its strictly on rarity - like mythics for mythics/ legendaries for legendaries and uncommon for uncommon - that sorta thing because trading like 4 rare cards for a mythic or legendary is also OP as -Yoink-, just imagine getting rid of all your rares and uncommons and having an absolute armory of legendary weapons and vehicles… it’d be too much

Well maybe the ability to turn off reqs? Like I really don’t need scout hogs, mongooses, or Banshees, but I’d rather focus on getting practical stuff I commonly use like Ghosts, Gungooses, and the Wasp.

I just remembered that WZFF could get the rounds leanghtned, or the respawning time shortened, or at the very least making the respawning points closer to the bosses or allowing player to choose spawn points so it benifits them when they choose reqs, like a higher position to spawn from when they are using a sniper rifle. Or closer to danger when they use a shot gun or whatever.

That’d be ideal, but realistically they wouldn’t do that because they could potentially make less money from REQ’s if people don’t need to grind for specific items… they are still a business and they/Microsoft probably want to milk Halo 5 dry if they can

What if there was a trade off? If you turn off a certification you lose the ability to buy Reqs with money? It forces you to grind for Req points and the random packs you buy would still be random just not quite as random.

5 Post limit so I got to say as much as I can. What if we got closer quarters type map? Like a map based off of Halo CE. Than something like the shotgun becomes really relevant and not such a waste of space.

Good idea but if that happened I would just turn off everything except nornfangs

What if you had to have 6 categories open (Sniper Rifles, Beamrifles, ect)

The best way to do this would be to have categories that you turn off as opposed to individual reqs. Or the option to buy individual reqs which preices would widely vary pending on rarity just like. A simple system that could be introduced is similar to what’s used in yugioh…

all will vary pending on which are mostly used. The more common a specif Req is used by the community the more it’ll cost. High demand = High prices. Low demand = Low prices. And when people start buying Low demand Reqs and Using them, they drive the price of those Reqs up and the more reqs that get ignored or are not used the more they will gradually decline in price.

  1. Commons are worth 50 - 100 Req Points
  2. Uncommons are worth 100 - 800 Req Points
  3. Rare is worth 800 - 1,600 Req points
  4. Ultra Rare is worth 1,600 - 3,200 Req points
  5. Legendary is worth 5,000 - 20,000 Req points

A Certification would cost you exactly 20,000 to 50,000 Req points regardless if it’s a common or not. and of course the price would vary pending on demand and popularity.
A Load out Weapon would cost you 10,000 Req points but can go up to 20,000 pending on the rarity and or the demand for such weapon.
Skins would Cost 50 - 1600 Req points because they do not effect the gameplay at all.

I feel as this thread doesn’t get much attention or recognition. Do the Devs ever read the Waypoint threads? I would honestly love to get feedback or know that my ideas aren’t entirely worthless.
