Anyone else? Literally I can’t even get into one lobby where the other team isn’t full of absolute sweats in a 3/4 stack and my team mates are either afk or going super negative??? Feels like mcc all over again :((( lol
Yup the third day was the worst with the new map and them controlling the ghost and warhog the whole game which lets them get the power weapons… games normally end in a score like 50-10 or less kills or in ctf people just farming kills annoying as all hell and then people brag about that stuff its funny af its almost if not easier than playing a game of bots for them, so how do they have fun? They boost their ego by these dumb numbers called kd and win ratio but then you realize how they got them… theyre skilled/good? Nah, not in my book
how do you know they are 4 stacks?
I’ll be honest…I was running into coordinated teams for the first hour but then joined three others from my H5 Spartan Company and we won 13 in a row. It was much more fun making callouts with old friends. I was lucky to stumble upon such a great group of guys from H5…perhaps if you keep your comms open you might find a similar group to have fun with, win or lose.

Yeah, this. It’s obvious to tell when people have matching gamertags, but usually that is very rare.

As far as I know, 343 removed the visual indicator but it’s quite easy to tell if you‘re playing a bunch of solo players or if you’re facing a well communicating team.

I was getting into games with them all being on the same team with similar names multiple times

I find it incredibly interesting how average players call good players “sweats” as if being good and trying to win is a bad thing. It’s okay to be average or bad at a video game, but stop acting like there’s something wrong with good players playing fast and well lmao it’s really telling tbh…
Anyone that complains about “sweatiness” or “sweaty players” in a competitive game is just the worst… the very worst
Edit: I actually think I get it now, they call good players “sweaty” instead of calling them “good” or “skilled” because they realize complaining about players being good at a game exposes them as average or bad players just complaining because there’s no participation trophy in E-sports
I understand your concerns and agree about the teams. Skill-based matchmaking will be a saving grace for all levels of players (good, bad, average)

Get off your high horse lmao. I literally complained because not only am I facing sweaty players, but I also have awful team mates, in that situation how am I even meant to have fun? I’m a good player and I can accept when I’m being beaten but the problem is from playing against the same teams over and over and constantly getting slapped BECAUSE my teammates are doing just as bad as me or worse.
it shouldn’t be possible to match teams, when you go in solo it destroys everything your rank and the whole game I hope they fix this in Infinite it’s boring when you get destroyed by golds only because the communicate with each other this is no skill it’s an unfair advantage against solo players…

I doubt he did this but you can easily just look at people profiles after playing and check what they’re doing together.
Anyway matching teams when searching solo is garbage. I don’t know why 343 refuses to ever change it after all this time. There’s no excuse if Infinite is on PC and is F2P. No way the player pool will be small enough where they can’t do it at least in social. The amount of Halo I have played the past several years has tanked in part because of this. I mainly play alone these days and it’s a miserable experience when you play groups.
Got matched against an Apex Legends controller pro, his aspiring Apex pro friend, an aspiring Apex pro now seeking to go pro in Infinite, and an H5 champ. All on one team, though only 2 were queued together. My team was not communicating, not even marking. I went like 5-13 (perhaps even more negative) because the other team was actually team-shooting/playing as a unit. Funnily enough my accuracy was the highest at 64%. Could never trade kills but tbf my game sense needs work.

Is there something else I can click to like this post again?? My god, I love this response. I will never be able to wrap my mind around this way of thinking.
If all the kids wanna play with no consequences, let em go play bot games.

How would 343 stop groups of friends playing together?
Same thing can happen in ANY fps out there.

Yeah if only there was a way they could limit how many people can search in a lobby together. Too bad that doesn’t exist.
I’m not sure what can be done. It is team slayer after all. You live or die by the quality of your team.
I’m not sure why there isn’t more of a focus on FFA. Specifically designed maps with appropriate equipment and weapon balance. Surely that is the place for soloists to strut their stuff.

I don’t think he’s asking for 343 to completely stop groups from playing together. That would be absolutely ridiculous, and the forum would be full of people saying “WTF I can’t play matchmaking with my friends?”
What they need to do is implement a party match system like H3 (iirc) had. If you went into matchmaking with a group of 4, it would do it’s best to match you with a group of 4. Sometimes you’d get a group of 3 + a rando, or 2 groups of 2, but rarely would a group of 4 be matched against 4 randos. If you went in solo, it would do its best to match you with 7 other solos. This worked quite well, and kept the game fun for soloists and groups alike.
This is what I believe he is asking for. Not for them to literally stop groups of 4 from joining matchmaking.
It did not seem like any type of sbmm was working in the flight. I think much of this will be alleviated once there are more playlists to load into and when proper matchmaking is online.
Is a tech preview with two playlist, not much you can do aboit it.

It’s this new way of thinking about online games lol I feel like it started with kids getting offended at being called bad in games like League of Legends and trying to get them banned or censored instead of just getting better or accepting their skill level, its the new wave of online culture and there is a war between the old and new. In the competitive scene though, the new cannot overpower the old. If you follow my analogy/metaphor.
