Constant Teamkilling issues....

CE, H2A, 3, doesn’t matter which title it is, these jerks keep doing it, and even last night I got kicked from the match without even doing anything during a CE match, and got a 30 minute ban because of it!!!

Why the heck is Friendly Fire even on? These children can’t be trusted with it…

If you have any clips of this you can always message Postums or Snickerdoodle the clips. The reason FF is left on is people like your describing can ruin Objective games if FF was turned off. You could walk a flag or back to your base and stand still and not cap the flag ruining the match, same thing with Assualt you could pick up your bomb and not move at all.

Then there should be a votekick system in place, TF2 has one for those exact reasons.

I honestly don’t know how the PC community will put up with that garbage when the MCC gets ported over, and they definately won’t be civil about it in the community forums either…

Betrayers are annoying, but your ban time doesn’t sound correct. The current ban times are listed below.

16 hour bans?! Jesus, I guess they don’t want anyone playing their game at that point!!

MCC was plagued with quitters which can also cause a bad gaming experience so they implemented the banning system and quits were reduced by 50%. The ban times reset after 24 hours if you don’t quit from your last ban.

Well it’s only going to be worse on PC, especially with Aimbots and such, those jerks always find a way…

With that in mind, people will be quitting matches in droves, I see it all the time on Steam games, though hopefully they ease up on it, the matchmaking through Valve’s servers is pretty fast, so I would think they could replace people rather quickly…

But why is quitting a match so horrible? If the teams are that badly unbalanced, why force people to stay? Isn’t there some way to just hop into a casual, fun match that isn’t one-sided without worry of being banned if you wish to leave for some reason?

Not all games are unbalanced and people leave in them as well. I’d be all for a more complex ban system in social which could detect blowout games or an unintentional disconnect and then allow quitting, but currently that’s not what we have so it treats everyone the same. It does allow quitting if half or more of your team quits before you so there is something positive with that, but 343 has seen something in the data or else they wouldn’t have implemented a banning system in the first place.

Though what if people just go afk instead of quitting due to being afraid of the ban? Doesn’t that entirely break the system they put in place?

That’s what people currently do and 343 should be aware of it by now so hopefully they’re working on something to address that.

I’ve played a lot of h1-h3 over the past few months, and in my experience people intentionally team killing are pretty rare. It usually happens when most of the other team has quit and people are bored. It’s a little more common in h1 because the grenades are mini nukes, but most of those betrayals are not intentional (I assume).

For what it’s worth, also remember to report the player on Xbox Live for unsporting behaviour.

Well, considering that cross play won’t be a thing at launch, when the game does come to PC, if teamkilling occurs, it’ll because members of the PC community are doing the betraying. So when they do complain, they’ll be complaining about members of their own community, just like what’s going on with the console community. It’s not like Xbox teamkillers will be accosting the PC community. It’s a player behavior issue, not a game mechanic issue; take away FF and griefers will just use other methods to grief.

This is what I do mostly. I don’t even really rage about it anymore. There are always those bad apples out there. Just report them and move on.

I’m merely addressing this matter because I’m hoping that they add a proper way to solve the issue on the PC enviroment. Many online titles on that platform have a votekicking option, and it would be quick and easy fix to get rid of troublesome teammates.

I am sure they will implement something to that affect, since it will be PC and there will a ton of people who will be trolls and or bad sports. All we can do is bring it up and talk about it, and I am sure the developers will notice, or have notice, the concerns around this.

Yeah I vote kick would be nice or at the VERY LEAST give us an option to report players in game rather than having to go afk or remember to report them through xbox game bar.
I am sick of people killing me and other teammates (and calling people homophobic and racist names) just because they can. Now I understand if you accidently run a teammate over, that stuff happens, but there needs to be a penalty system in place

Also here I am, a PC player fresh of a match with people who are constantly team killing and i’m not being an “donkey”.

If you capture video evidence, you can make a submission on Halo Support. The team there will review it. Mine was solved and action has been taken against the person who decided to actively team kill. If you want to see the clip, message me and i’ll send you the link.

Yep, although it takes a minute this is the way to go. They seem to be taking reports to their support site seriously, especially if you provide video evidence.

Actually, it takes about 10 days on the support site.
