I’ve recently installed via GamePass and and after 18 hours of installing I’m receiving “For some reason…took too long to start. (0x8027025a)” error. I’ve looked at other threads and hard restart does not work.
Please advise 343, this is disappointing and if asked to to uninstall/reinstall then you’ve already lost me.
I am guessing your internet isn’t very good if it took that long to install. Could be your connection. But if a hard reset didn’t fix it odds are you may have to uninstall and reinstall. Any issue I have had a hard reset usually fixed it.
Just hold off for the night on it. Sometimes there’s issues with profile data being accessible to live and can cause games to not boo, as the servers can’t verify you own the game or not. Also, try clearing your cache on the system before rebooting (hard boot) and see if that helps.
