Mcc has been crashing a lot for me recently. The game crashes which is normal but its been doing it ALOT more often than normal. Is it just me?

Is it too many people with animated skins killing it?
Yep, started crashing in h3 after last update, removed skins and new armor, it stopped happening. I’m on an OG Xbox one
It’s been a wide spread problem so far since skins have been added to H3 not mention it might’ve affected the scorpion since shots to someone’s body won’t kill or even hurt them most of the time
It’ll always be a broken mess. Halo 3 custom games have about a 50% chance of crashing before you even get to the loading screen. As others have said, disabling the new cosmetics helps a little bit.

Is THAT what it is??? I swear, on H3 heavies, I would run Scorpion, shoot at somebody dead-on and it either explodes BEHIND them or it hits and they don’t die. I thought I was going crazy haha.

It’s fairly common now which is why I don’t play BTB heavies for H3 anymore especially since the scorpion is kinda essential especially on Valhalla or sandtrap, also I think it also didn’t register with banshees either now that I think about it

I still play heavies, but with these blatant inconsistencies…I usually just hang back with the Splaser and pick people off. No use using vehicles if they can’t DO anything. The HCE Scorpion is the worst. You aim at somebody and the shot goes off on a COMPLETELY different tangent…unless it’s somebody else and they hit you dead-on every time. Halo 3’s issue with skins and HCE/H2C’s netcode issues need to be fixed. I love these games to pieces, but the MCC is making them feel like a slog to play through.
Microsoft should pay Bungie to fix MCC since they’re already in cahoots again, with the Game Pass-Destiny 2 deal.
It would absolutely be worthwhile.
As an aside- I was able to completely alleviate the crashing issue by turning off H3 skins and restarting the game/ application after opening either the Customization UI or the Season Unlocks

Really is, I just hope they patch it soon or at least acknowledge it

Agreed, I’ve just stuck to customs now and forging, can’t really play H3 anyways with how much it crashes especially when 3/4 of the match is complete
