A friend of mine was banned from waypoint and wanted me to put his theory up, so here it is:
> Halo 4 Spartan Ops Episode 6 Chapter 5.
> We all know what happened …Empty IFF tags and no bodies, now let’s think about this, take this with a grain of salt.
> First off, we all know the Covenant are religious, and religious can be taken in 2 meanings, 1, simply worshiping god.
> And 2, which is looking up to god and attempting to replicate the perfection, in the Halo universe, the Precursors are basically god.
>
> In Chapter 5 we saw the Covenant using (Or hiding) in a digger which looks like…
>
> this
>
> We all thought it was a Precursor, why?
> Because it looks a LOT like these pictures, which, if you look at the dates …Were uploaded WAY before the release of Halo 4.

> Now, let’s see what we had, empty IFF tags and no bodies, that ring any bells? Remember level 6 of Halo:CE ? There were no bodies, because they get taken, also… The Covies were hiding in small groups, all together… And the groups are away from each other, now let’s all remember that they were digging …Because that always ends well, and on top of that …The Prometheans were outside, doing what they were designed for, they were fighting …With big weapons, even some Crawlers had some Lightrifles (Which look VERY stupid considering they’re as long as they are.) and there was an exceptional amount of Incineration Cannon Knights.

> I think it we can safely assume that the obvious ‘plot twist’ in Spartan Ops will be the Flood, until we get any new information/new missions, we can all assume it’s the flood.
i thought this topic is about that microsoft has found the egghead who Butt-pirated halo 4. (no offence 343 industries) thats just the harvester its not a living creature…i think or maybe the covenant are feeding some ugly creature.
they could’ve been vaporized by Promethean weaponry or captured. If it’s the flood hopefully they can give the human flood model an ai in spops. If it’s the flood by god Spops will be incredible but without , infection, carrier or elite forms it just won’t be the same.
There is no way in heck that harvester isn’t hinting at something. It’s completley orange and different looking than all the other covenant tech. Plus, it looks an awful lot like the same kind of art style that is used on the flood player models.
> How many missing warheads are there? How many bodies are there?
>
> Dead bodies taken onto UNSC ships with warheads inside them would be a great way for the covenant to hit the UNSC hard.
Well then we really could call Jul’ a terrorist then couldn’t we
I know many others thought flood, when they saw the Harvester. Nice job connecting it to the Precursors. I definitely see the resemblance. I mean that and the Precursors made the flood…
I guess Spops is going to be hinting at flood’s return in halo 5.
Oh for goodness sake, more people babbling on about things when they don’t know the canon. No, that vehicle is not a precursor. It is a mining vehicle, nothing more. It’s most likely the mining version of what eventually became the combat-capable Scarab. Also, where’d you find those pictures of the Primordial? Are they leaked?
And IFFs with no bodies usually means they were either Composed or killed by a Promethean weapon (which has the same disintegration effect sans the turning into a Knight part). Both of which are common occurances on Requiem. Except the Composer is destroyed, forgot that part.
> If only there were some sort of weapons in Halo 4 that disintegrated what they shot at. Well since weapons like that don’t exist it must be the flood.
Lol right?
Even if it was the flood, they would still have their IFFs. I don’t see what being infected changes about holding a simple tag. Either way, it’s not going to be the flood because it takes a lot of effort to create an entire faction of enemies.

No need to get crabby Canon king. No one said it is Precursor. Everyone knows it is Covie, but the theme doesn’t really look like it. Yea I’m sure people figured it may be a Scarab variant. Being composed or disintegrated is a good theory. Point is, it’s just speculation, so calm down. The crab like experience is related with precursor, so I don’t mind thinking the design was influenced by that. Also, it’s established that it digs for artifacts (so far). I don’t remember anyone in here saying it didn’t, so don’t jump the gun to quickly.

True, true. Though it was never really confirmed what happened to the Didact after he fell into the beam. For all we know, it could have sent him back to Requiem to start building a new (or even possibly smaller, more portable) Composer. How the Composer works, aside from turning the organic to digital, hasn’t really been touched upon. Are the Promethians it creates ‘born’ back on Requiem? Keep in mind, all that’s left after a composing are piles of spent organic matter, or ash.

I’m dismissing these theories quickly because they’re already too farfetched to be right. If anything, the Harvester’s design is based on native insects, or it could even be a native Lekgolo design that the Covenant adopted. Who knows? But it’s not significant enough of an object to be related to something as overwhelmingly important as the Primordial (spoilers who is dead). The Covenant likely have no idea what it would have looked like at all, and they likely don’t even know about it yet. It’s just too early in the storyline, they wouldn’t be even mentioning things like the Primordial until atleast Halo 5.
