hey guys I have the new halo edition of the console and was wondering if anyone else was having problems powering it off. When I do it from my controller I have no problems but when I do it from my console (for the sounds) it doesn’t turn off. It makes the sound and I even do it multiple time with the sound intact each time but it won’t turn off until i do it from my controler
I’ve had that before with my standard edition Xbox. Do a hard Reset on your Xbox. (Press and hold the power button until the xbox turns off and the light indicator on your power brick turns orange)
Halo 5 is just a couple days ahead so… get used to turn it off with your controller. You can send it to service later 
It shouldn’t be a major issue. Probably just temporary. Mine no longer does it.
If my initial suggestion doesn’t work, try unplugging your xbox for 2 minutes, and then restart it and see if that works.

Same here, had the issue on the xbox I got with the GOW Ultimate Edition bundle. Found online people mentioning the hard reset and that seemed to work for me on that version of the system; hopefully it works for you as well.
