Console lost connection!!!!!

I get this error AT LEAST 3 - 5 times a day. I am always in the middle or towards the end of a match, winning or losing and I “lose” connection. I’m wireless (WiFi), Signal is excellent and every other single game I play I literally have no issues, just halo 5. I don’t even want to play the game anymore because of this issue.

  1. How can I fix this, if it is even fixable?
  2. Does anyone else have this issue?

Unfortunately, there are no possible methods to solve this issue. Everyone has experienced it at some point or another. Just pray that your next game or two doesn’t crash our something like that.

It could be so many different things it’s hard to tell. Your ISP could be having large traffic issues at certain times of the day etc… About the only thing you could do is hard reboot your whole system (modem, router, xbox) and hope for the best.

Don’t try to use Halo 5 with wifi, it never works and is a substandard connection. Ethernet cord from the router to xbox will help tons.

I don’t have that option, I would have to buy a 20 Foot long Ethernet cable, which I can’t run through a wall or anything.

Purchase a pair of ethernet extenders, they plug into the wall and have an ethernet cord connection. That will be better than wifi at least.

Is it possible to place your whole Xbox setup near your router? If so, try to find a shorter Ethernet cable under 5 feet long. It does wonders for me.

I found a fix! I simply cleared my MAC Address on my xbox, restarted my system and boom, no more lost connections! thanks everyone for the help.

Glad you got your issue sorted OP< feel free to start a new topic if you need any other help
