I did not get into the closed beta this past summer. But I was able to play last weekend, and the funniest thing happened. When I plugged in my keyboard and mouse into my Xbox One X, a GAME-BREAKING bug occurred, restricting my aim to a tiny little box in the center of my screen. No worries, a restart will fix it. Nope. Delete and re-install? Nope. I do some research. and apparently about four people have the issue. And two of them were from the Closed Beta.
It’s happening again this week. I haven’t played yet, but someone commented on my post from LAST WEEKEND claiming the same thing’s happening to them.
This will be a launch bug if 343 doesn’t get their stuff together. The game is completely unplayable. I submitted a ticket early Saturday morning last weekend, got a response on Monday saying the team’s looking into it.
…And nothing.
And it’s happening again.
I understand that there are more important issues than a handful of players not being able to use Mouse and Keyboard on console. But this has evolved past that. This has evolved into 343 ignoring a game-breaking bug for THREE BETAS. Reminder. We are TWO MONTHS OUT from the game shipping. If we don’t raise hell for this over this weekend, it will not be fixed until well after launch. This isn’t "my spartan move too slow" or “AR too good” but a serious issue that drastically affects not only gameplay but my desire to actually play the game. So, if anyone from 343 is reading this (not likely) my ticket is somewhere in the September 25th bank. Do some research, you could probably find some from August as well. Or keep an eye out for the ones coming in this weekend.
