Considering taking Halo 4 back.

The competitive aspect is completely gone, 343 isn’t Bungie and never will be, their main focus is appealing solely to the rich, and whoever paid the most money. He who pays more gets to have the best experience. Bungie was about equality. I played CE on the original xbox connect, all the way up to Halo 2, then 3, etc. But this just doesn’t click. Do you all remember the feeling you had when you played Halo 2 for the first time? Or Halo 3? It was nothing like this… 343 killed halo. It’s like a trainwreck, it’s hard to watch but you do anyway.

all i hear in your post is “i’m not any good and i’m still in shock over it”

Yup, take it back as I am going to. The only way to speak to the money grubbing company that is 343/Microsoft is to do so with numbers.

Online numbers will drop, trade-ins and returns will rise.

The only people that can possibly like Halo 4 are noobs who enjoy getting pretty much free kills(random power weapons etc.)

Same here. It sucks, it REALLY sucks (that I’ve been brought to this point).

But the other guy is right: Companies only listen to money. Which is a shame, cause they can have even more money if they did things right.

Haven’t done it yet. But I keep wondering… It just sits there. At the very least, if 343 pulls a 180, I should be able to find a used copy cheap pretty easy. Ammiright??

Sigh… this sucks.

Opinions are opinions. I try to have fun with the halo experience that has been provided to me. Every game has had aspects of them that I could have done with out…yet I still managed to have fun and enjoy the game (I even had fun playing Reach). I don’t thing what halo is becoming is bad, It still feels very Halo to me. There are things I would love to see changed, but I’m no halo traditionalist. If you were given the same game every two to for years you would be disappointed…and then Halo would truly transform into…you get the point. enjoy good friend. just enjoy.

Basically “I’m bad at the game”

I’m at SR 68 so I’m going to get to 70 today and then seriously consider trading it back in. There’s a few niche games that I want that will surely be out of stock soon. Halo 4 will always be available (and much cheaper eventually).

I just feel stressed out when I play. Don’t get me wrong, when it works, it’s really fun. But those moments are rare.

I hated two thirds of the campaign. Spartan Ops is a godawful feature, so repititous and bland. I cannot believe they’re actually going to sell future seasons as DLC. I pity the sad saps who will actually buy 10 minute missions that boil down to “kill all the enemies in this area”. Wow. Simply wow. Can you imagine Bungie doing that?

The money you get for trade-ins decreases rapidly so if you’re going to trade it in then do it now! I know for a fact that, if I do trade it in, I will buy it again in the future. The only thing that is stopping me from definitely trading it in right now is that my brother will be returning for Christmas and I know we’ll get some fun from splitscreen just like we did with Halo 3.

I don’t know, I’m just bored of it and it just isn’t Halo.

it’s literally comical that you guys think returning the game is going to hurt 343’s bottom line. they still got your money.

also, the common thread in all of your complaints seems to center around your lack of skill.

you guys should try COD. any old trigger spammer can be successful in COD. they are also a LOT more willing to deal with whiny high schoolers who cry because they aren’t any good.

practice makes perfect. whining makes babies.

Let me ask you (the original poster, and many others alike) this:
When Halo 3 came out, were you disappointed that you went back to playing Halo 2? And if you got the chance to play Halo Reach, were you so disappointed that you went back to Halo 3?

So far aside what you are complaining about, i have read some topics & comments where people are going back to Halo Reach.

Just cause you and a few more return the game back, you think 343i would care? Not really, no. People did the same when Halo Reach came out thinking Bungie would care.

No competitive gameplay? What are you near-sighted to just Infinity Slayer? Try out Dominion, even Regicide, King of the Hill, heck even Oddball or CTF.

By the way, Bungie wasn’t all for equality, they have sold limited & legendary editions to their games with special add-ons for those who pre-ordered them. Making it sound like 343i are the first ones to do it is absurd.

If you want to take back the game, do it. And honestly, you could have went to return the game without making this pointless topic.

Yes, I remember when I first played Halo 3 and it felt terrible compared to Halo 1 and 2.

> it’s literally comical that you guys think returning the game is going to hurt 343’s bottom line. they still got your money.

And they won’t get the next person’s money when they walk in and buy used instead of new.

How can you people be so dense???

I’d be happy to 1v2, your rules.

I didn’t say it sucked. I didn’t say I was bad. I’m not complaining about the weapons. I know I’m good at it. But who isn’t? That’s my point. I said it doesn’t feel like Halo. Think before you speak, please.

Ehh they might add a rank system in. If you do leave us can you give a fellow spartan your Fotus armor?

your understanding of business practice is apalling.

next time, you might not want to open your mouth QUITE so wide.

343 is making money no matter what you do. every review of this game has been stellar and they will continue to sell copies no matter what a handful of jaded nobodies thinks.

still laughing out loud at you thinking 343 will loose money because you trade in one copy. you should be a comedian.

Pointless thread. These threads are really getting old and stale. If you don’t like the game then don’t play it. The vast majority of us love it and think 343 did a great job.

> all i hear in your post is “i’m not any good and i’m still in shock over it”

Both of you have very impressive stats, not.

Game sucks and has no right to call itself Halo anymore.

I can’t play more than 2-3 games before I remove the disk from my 360. Even if I go 25-0 every time I just hate it. It’s not Halo and has nothing to do with Halo anymore.

I will return this game as well, as I don’t think 343 will change anything significantly about this game anytime soon. If they do patch this game eventually, I can always buy a 2nd hand copy from my local gamestore, as dozens have already returned their copy of the game.

lol. i’m not the one whining because i keep getting owned.

your butthurt is comedy to me.

if you spent half as much time practicing as you do crying and whining on the internet, you would be good at this game.

I was never disappointed with Halo 3. That was a never-ending source of fun. I only lasted 6 months on Reach but I never traded it back in because there was something I liked about it. Still kinda had that Bungie feel beneath all the crap. Sorta…

> Just cause you and a few more return the game back, you think 343i would care? Not really, no. People did the same when Halo Reach came out thinking Bungie would care.

No, of course 343 won’t care. They already have our money. That’s what we’re so disappointed by. We gave them our money for an unfinished product and yet they’re not acknowledging half of the issues that are so blatantly clear. Why is this community so divided? Why are you siding with 343 instead of with your fellow player, your fellow consumer. 343 doesn’t care about you just as much as it doesn’t care about us. The whole player-base should be united in wanting a better game.

> By the way, Bungie wasn’t all for equality, they have sold limited & legendary editions to their games with special add-ons for those who pre-ordered them. Making it sound like 343i are the first ones to do it is absurd.

I could be wrong here, but I don’t think Bungie ever enhanced Limited Editions by taking AWAY from the Standard Editions. 343 basically capped us owners of the standard editions (since when should a player be handicapped for buying the regular edition?) to make the Limited Edition more attractive. It is a baffling decision. They just didn’t seem to have anything else to offer the Limited Edition owners so they just capped the Standard Eds.

> If you want to take back the game, do it. And honestly, you could have went to return the game without making this pointless topic.

The point of this thread is to voice the author’s displeasure and disillusionment with where the franchise is going. As a (presumably) long-time fan of the series and a consumer he is entitled to do so. He has already gotten support from people (including myself) who feel the same way. He’s asking for reasons why he shouldn’t return it. Why on earth do you, and so many others, fear these threads? Why must you support 343 at every single turn? It’s frustrating to see so many people trying to silence the displeasure of their fellow players.

Please, all of you, point me to or quote one of my posts where I said “I’m going to return my game in order to get back at 343.”

Since it seems some of you have reading problems;
I DO NOT ENJOY THE GAME BECAUSE IT DOES NOT FEEL LIKE HALO, I AM CONSIDERING TAKING THE GAME BACK BECAUSE I DO NOT ENJOY IT LIKE I PREVIOUSLY ENJOYED EVERY OTHER HALO GAME, ALBEIT HALO WARS.

I posted a topic here hoping someone could convince me to keep it, and not go get MY, (NOT 343’s) money back.
