Connectivity issues

Hello fellow players.
First and foremost I don’t know if this is the right place to post this since I’m not familiar with rules and/or forum restrictions (but from what I could gather from reading the rules on the site, it seems that this could be just the place for me to post this and I would be pleased if someone could move this elsewhere if it’s not).
Second I’ve always had a great apprehension for posting on any Halo Forums ever since Bungie’s forum sort of died - the community I once knew was way too changed and developed into an environment I was not adapted to (if this offends anyone, forgive me) but this is the only place I can ask for help and I imagine someone can be kind enough to answer me if I have a question.
Third, I understand that I should probably ask a friend to help me instead but I have around three who play Xbox and they are rarely online.
Forth: I’ve checked all I could find to try and find someone with a similar problem but no luck.

So, to the point, my problem is that I cannot enter any of Halo 5: Guardians’ multiplayer lobbies - whether it is arena, warzone, forge or custom games. I know I am connected to the Xbox Live and I am a GOLD member, since I’ve renewed my subscription just yesterday for three months (unfortunately they don’t sell two days or week cards) also I am fairly certain I haven’t been banned from the Xbox Live as I assume they would notify me of this through some sort of warning or message and my online behavior is not inadequate. I literally can’t get out of the menu except to go the campaign lobby or to open the Spartan Hub. The Daily Message also seems to be working so I assume the issue is only with me (when I press the “A” button nothing happens except for the noise).
Moreover, the REQ menu seems to be loading forever along with other functionalities that would require connection to the server.

Is there any fix to this or am I stuck with a US$499 paperweight?

Also deeply sorry if there’s a scheduled update for today or some sort of maintenance that I wasn’t informed of.

I believe I may be experiencing the same, or similar issues. For roughly a week now, any time I try and get into the arena or warzone lobbies, after what seems to be 3 to 5 minutes of the system trying to load, an error message appears saying “There is a problem with the Halo 5: Guardians servers. Try again.” No matter how many times I’ve tried, I cannot access the multiplayer lobbies. None of my REQ menus are opening either. They just load indefinitely. I have friends who live in the same city as me and no one I know is experiencing any issues at all. My connections are good, I am not banned, and there has been nothing posted about issues from 343. At least not that I have seen, anyways. Rather frustrated, want answers, would love to be able to play online again. Ya know, like we’re paying to do?

I am sure you guys have tried loading the game, hard reset, reload the game, settings, check my connection, settings check my multiplayer connection. What you mention above has happened to me from time to time but the steps I outlined fix it.

A friend of mine got disconnected over 20 times tonight. We gave up on matchmaking after the first couple of times, and tried custom games. Sometimes the game would start and he wasn’t in it, sometimes he’d get kicked out halfway through. We had a few matches… but decided enough was enough and tried Titanfall. Played for ages with zero problems.

Conclusion - from my own experiments, Halo servers are absolute trash, 343 aren’t interested, nobody gives a damn and we lose out.
