Ok so here is the start of everything you can connect to Halo 4. I will start this up others are welcome to join in this connection fever. Try to stick to the format I’m using when posting your connections to Halo 4. Please keep it on topic.

My personal experience with halo has not been tainted by the awesome fan fiction I hear so much about. So if the game disagrees with any fan fiction books or fan made cannon, I will put the games made by the makers first hands down. So I am going to point out some Halo game facts, and how Reach connects to Halo 4. How Halo 3 connects to Reach. I will provide videos and screenshots supporting the connections. Most of this will also be my opinion tied to the facts presented.

Connecting Reach to Halo 4, and my opinion on what Cortana is.

Let’s start with Cortana. Cortana is Forunner AI that was stored in the Reach forunner Artifact. With the help from Dr. Hasley she was updated with Human and Covenant Technology. Cortana decided to appear in Human form, due to the interaction with Dr. Hasley.“Note Hasley is seen using a UI with Cortana” Cortana was then extracted, then handed to Noble Six who brought her to Keyes then made it to the pillar of autumn. At the end of Reach a tribute speech is done for Noble Six on Reach. As you hear Cortana speaking you see a date appear July, 7, 2589. Then when the camera zooms out you see a ship the class of it not identifiable.

Now let me make the connections from above paragraph. The most recent concept art video released confirmed my suspicion. “Bungie had a set end in the Halo games seen in Reach” The ship seen in the end of Reach is after Halo 4, and the rest of the reclaimer trilogy which ends in around the years 2588 and 2589. John 117, The Humans, and The Covenant have reclaimed all of our forunner’s technology in the end. The art from the ship in reach is similar to the art in the new video mentioned above.

Connecting Reach and Halo 3 and explaining the Halo 4 timeline.

In the end of Halo 3 the date March, 3, 2553 appears. Then when Cortana speaks to John 117 in the end, she says I’ll drop a beacon but it could be years before any one picks it up. Now let’s peek at the end of reach when Cortana is speaking the date July, 7, 2589 appears. Time Line is set for 36 years, 4 months, 4 days from March, 3, 2553 to July, 7, 2589. This would explain why there is snow on the Halo 4 Trailer. I’m figuring the time line is about 2583 during the Trailer.

I thought this would be a good thing and thought it was well made but was wrong, the community proved so. Just more wasted time for nothing. This will get buried like the rest of my post end up getting around the xbox gaming community. It was worth a try anyway.

I wonder if any noticed waypoints background connection to the Halo 4 trailer? The beginning of the Halo 4 trailer was the waypoint transparent background before the trailers release. Also sure CEA with have Halo 4 connections up the whazoo.

The only error is that what Noble Six delivered to the Autumn wasn’t Cortana but a part of her, but still makes a lot of sense. :slight_smile:

Just FYI, you got a few things wrong with Cortana. Cortana was built using Halsey’s mind (a flash clone version). During the Fall of Reach, Halsey fragmented Cortana into 2 pieces. One so Halsey can use for translating the Forerunner artifact and one that is with the Master Chief/Autumn (I’m iffy on this little tidbit).
So Cortana isn’t a Forerunner AI. But she is well informed about the Forerunner race, to some extent… (Halo: Legends)

Also, at the end of Reach, if you put subtitles on, you would see that it says Halsey, not Cortana.

And for the date speculation, that could be correct, but honestly I think Halo 4 will take place sooner than 2589. We’d probably see Halo 4 taking place around 2557-8. But who knows really?

Edit: PS the Covenant can’t reclaim anything because 1: They aren’t the Reclaimers and Forerunner tech doesn’t work for them. and 2: the Covenant doesn’t exist anymore. They broke apart, and each race is in complete distraught. (Since everything they’ve done and believed in was proven false.)

Cortana was at the Autumn and was created from Halsey’s brain, the one who appears in the screenshot it’s a part of her used to collect the data from that artifact (very very confirmed).

Most likely Halsey was being dramatic with no-literal meanings…

Sorry, but I think there were 7 survivos and them all were used to create Cortana, if I remember correctly from Halsey’s journal.

Cortana is equal or superior to Spark 343 in forunner AI.

Like I said Fan made cannon is debunked by gameplay whats told in the game is the story no matter what. We will see in the end.

Sorry, but I find it impossible. First, Forerunners’ technologycal state (2) were known to have AIs which actually were intelligent, and humanity is in a lower level.

And I find impossible to a human AI (a species with not much more than 2000 years of truly development) to beat a Forerunner IA (from a species able to build things planet-sized and remove every last sentient living being in the galaxy).

Yeah seriously! Last time I checked they haven’t even updated the info we got from Cryptum!
The ancillas and the human AI do have a strange similarity. At least with Cortana, that is. The “little blue lady in the back of my head.”

Indeed.

And the emotions they make people have is similar, like when Riser asked if he could marry her, thought she didn’t display such emotions…
