I just heard about Halo Wars DE being pn steam yesterday and so today as soon as I got off work and went home I bought the game and downloaded it. The game ran ok at first but then crashed…and crashed…and crashed. Every time giving me the same fatal error saying that the “connection to the graphics adapter has been lost”.
Just to see if it would help I checked to see if my graphics card was up to date and it was. So far I have scoured the internet for other people having this problem and have only found a few and of those few I found nobody has a solution. As of right now the game crashes every time after a few minutes of play time, therfore making the game unplayable. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Same issue is happening with me, I cannot even get pact the initial 343i screen. very frustrating.

There is a small paych that just seemed to come out. I hope that will help if not then i dont know…the more time the game is out the more people i am seeing have this problem.
I was able to beat the whole game on Legendary, no problem. But, now im going back through again on Heroic to grab skulls and black boxes and it keeps giving me the same error on Dome Of The Light mission like 25mins in. have replied it 5 times, same stupid thing. makes no sense, i got a BA computer for gaming 
I see this is an old thread, but has a solution been found for this problem? I just bought the D.E. yesterday on Steam, and have the exact same problem. I get a minute or two into a mission (or the tutorial) and the graphics go nuts and the pc freezes. A few times I have seen the “lost connection to the graphics adapter” message before the hard freeze. My card is a GTX 1060 - not top of the line, but should have no problems with this game. Any help greatly appreciated.
i am playing this on windows 10 game pass ultimate and am gettingFATAL ERROR Connection between Graphics adapter was lost when i am in the middle of campaign mission. it then proceeds to make my monitor flash a bunch of random colors and restart several times. i thought it bricked my computerCPU: i5-4690k. no overclock
GPU: nividia gtx 760 2gb, updated drivers to 466. no overclock
16GB RAMwindows 10 is updatedhow in the hell is this still an issue 4 years after game was released on pc?
