So I played for a while on my wireless connection and had no trouble, then all of a sudden any game I try and join it loads everything up and then once the game is about to start i get a connection lost error, unable to join ( the request to join has timed out). I now have it wired in and it works, but it lags and my wireless connection is better, so every once and a while when I get too sick of the lag I try my wireless connection, but every time no matter when i try I get the same error. I’m no genius when it comes to networking but it says my NAT Type is open and all services are available. Can anyone help a spartan out here?
Wired is so much more secure than wireless, so I think your causation is misdirected.
In other words, it just so happens that when you switch to wireless, you play fine for a little. But it’s not the reason you play fine.
I cant play on my wireless at all, it just dissconnects me. but when i could play on it when i originally got the got i never experienced lag, not with it wired it i have lag all the time, I know it doesnt make sense that the wired connection is better, thats why Im asking what up with this haha??
If you can I would always go hard wired. But there has been a bit more lag in the game recently. This new update coming should help address maybe your issue. There is one thing I can say is H5 requires a very good connection. Anything less you will run into troubles. Who is your ISP?
The game plays better wired. I too have excellent WiFi, but there is something about the MS servers…
I have cox and my girlfriend just informed we have the basic 15 mps, whole time i was thinking i had 50 mps. I think this is a big part of the problem, but still doesnt explain why I used be able to play on my wifi fine and now cant at all. Routers obviously must get worse over time but we recently moved in and have only had it about 6 months. I have noticed the lag alot more more recently… cant wait for the update.

I would wait and see what the update does first. If you had no problems before then that leads me to believe it might not be your ISP. And remember speed only tells half the story. Quality of connection is key.
