Connection loss

I need a fix. I play Halo 5 on my Xbox one S Halo edition for about a year and I’ve always had issues with connection loss while in Halo’s multiplayer games. I use an apple airport router with spectrum as my ISP. I’ve reset both router and console numerous times to no avail. I lose connection almost every other game for no reason of my own that I’m aware of. While I’m in a game kicking but and taking names it undoubtedly pops up with a red screen and says lost connection… Please help before I degrade myself and buy a PlayStation. Thanks to whoever reads this and I hope none of you are having this issue.

Lol in all 50 states. The router is 7 years old would that be the issue you think?

Well as the link I posted says it usually comes down to NAT setting. With that one being kinda old it could be a couple of things. Also Xbox ones seem to kinda have weak wifi connections anyways. I always used a wired connection at home but some times at work or when I travel and use wifi that is when I may get a disconnect here and there.
