Beginning at 0245h I sat down to play HALO 5. In 62 minutes I was booted from 5 games of which I was actively participating in and finished only 1. 6 games played, 5 booted, one finished. 16% completion rate. 84% boot rate. HORRIBLE. OUTRAGEOUS.
Meaning, I only get to receive 10% of invested XP & RQ, yet I’m still depleting myself of Wraiths, Sniper Rifles, Scorpions, Plasma Casters …
Losing 90% of RQ & XP I was to receive had 343’s servers not disconnected me, is irritating to put it mildly.

Time Warner Cable is my ISP. It’s a well known fact that 343 & TWC’s relationship is caustic at best; unknown to me the paying customer.
The ONLY reason I purchased an XBOX One was so that I could play HALO 5 when it came out. I’ve been a Sony PlayStation customer since the 2 platforms existed. The PlayStation was then & is now are far more superior product & offers far more superior products in its services, which MS couldn’t hold a fart to.
Yet, I convinced myself that in 2015 MS & it’s platform partners had to be on the cutting edge, the proverbial tip of the spear of gaming & Internet gaming services. I convinced myself of the lie.
Let’s face it, they had after all been responsible for Star Wars, KoTR, perhaps the single best game ever created in gaming history. A game with infinite possibilities to infinite possibilities, limited only by the technology of our time. A masterpiece. Jaw dropping. FPS meets RPG meets mind**ck.
Three weeks or so after launch there was such an uproar over 343’s unpreparedness in the Arena … there was an acknowledgment that there was a caustic connection control issue between 343 servers & TWC and they (343) would be working on it … yada yada yada.
The next announcement was about a $1 million purse for the HALO Championship. Yet I’m getting dropped left & right.
I was disconnected so much by the 343 servers that on October 22nd their very own protocol banned me from the Arena until January 22nd. That’s 92 days.
I received a 3 month ban for “excessive match quitting” … yet I never quit 1 match.
343 kicked me out of every single match & I was banned for 3 months.
Fast-forward to today, right now … Due to 343’s servers kicking me, I currently have an 88% quitting rate. All I want to do is play. Play in the Arena like we did the 1st week before all hell broke loose.
All I want is to be guaranteed the service(s) I am paying for. Our mutual contract doesn’t give 343 & XBL the right to TAKE our money and NOT provide the service for which we entered into our binding agreement.
I demand 343’s attention to the issue with TWC & their inability to remain connected. It’s all I want. To play this awesome game & not be under your thumb. I realize stuff happens & there is always the occasional drop. I can live with that. I cannot accept an 88% drop rate in 62 minutes. CANNOT ACCEPT!
If not, I demand a refund of all monies used to purchase the XBOX One, All XBL subscription fees, the cost of HALO 5, the cost of ALL reqs purchased AND all taxes collected.
There is a difference between right and wrong. It’s time someone stood up & held 343 accountable for their words, guarantees & actions. Because what you, 343, are ignoring/letting slip through your hands is WRONG! You should know better!
