Hey everyone, I live in Australia and the majority of my online games experience lag, most of which inhibits my ability to play well. I have an open NAT type so my connecting to others is not the problem. I’m sure many other Aussies experience this. Most of the time I’m paired with Americans, Europeans and Mexican players, not that I have issues talking with them, but in game the lag is frustrating and annoying. My friends and I would love to see some search restrictions put in place or region search priority. At the moment I am finding difficult to play Halo 4 because of these issues. Any feedback and extra points of discussion would be awesome. Cheers guys.
To be fair, in America me and my friends are having some bad lag issues as well. Most of the time it’s not game breaking, but it is very frustrating. It also always seems to kick in at a pivotal point in the game. It is not a constant issue so it doesn’t happen every time but it’s annoying when it does. I’m confident 343 will address a lot of these issues and I keep in mind that the game is still fairly new and this is 343’s first try at Halo. A little patience goes a long ways…
There is either a problem with YOUR connection, you’re playing at odd hours or you’re extremely unlucky. I am Australian myself and I almost always get matched with other Australians.
I’m on holidays so I play during the day and night, my connection is great compared to some of my friends. Could be because time of day, but with the implementation of search restrictions it won’t be an issue for anyone anymore, hopefully.
