When trying to play Halo 2 Anniversary’s Co-OP campaign, my friend and I have run into an issue where we can’t complete a single level without the host being ejected randomly to the main menu and the person who joined being given the error ‘Connection interrupted’ and being disconnected from the host. Both of us see a “connecting” screen for maybe a second, but it becomes clear that it is not making any attempt to connect and it boots us out of the level. Because somebody thought it would be ok to not save co-OP progress in campaigns, this meant we would have to restart the entire level. This issue arose once we hit ‘Oracle’, and despite switching between the LAN mode (we are playing in the same room, same distance to router, etc.) And xbox live, the problem persisted in both network setups. We tried the mission around 7 times before giving up, the last tries we did after hard resetting the console by unplugging it. We tried quitting the app, nothing. It is 100% not an issue with our network, we are not having trouble with any other games and our connection is strong and fast. The only issues we are experiencing are with MCC. I have seen many people complaining that the Halo 2 Co-OP was always broken and has never been fixed, is this true? Can we not play the campaign co-op because of this constantly erasing our progress? If it matters we were on legendary and using the master blaster skull. The last time the issue arose, it occurred just as the cutscene loaded once we reached the final battle with the heretic leader.

Thanks for the reply, I’m having trouble finding that specific thread but I can see they’re working on their servers so this is possibly a result of that
