Connection issues need to be addressed, casting super powers or avoiding them, when some games i have a 3 second delay between when i press a button and when it reacts, is quite troublesome
As an Australian player I experience a lot of lag, Could we please change that players in similar scenarios connect only to uswest players and other players with ping around the same or under, which are around 200-250 Ping, which is playable.
Please cap it that we only find pings 250 and under. - USEAST player we connect at around 320+ ping and its really unplayable and I’m constantly matched vs east players. - Connecting to Euro player I connect at 350+ pingMany aus players and nz have similar issues. It’s pretty much assumed the match will be laggy, but can we at least try and make it a playable fun experience. Would greatly appreciate a response to this 343, cheers in advance if you do.
p.s Obviously custom matches would not have this condition.
Also leaving games still results in losing more CSR, why hasn’t this been fixed, its a complete waste of time to wait for the count down for every building to be demolished and i refuse to do it. If the game is over then you lose X amount of points regardless of how you are defeated! you’re the only rts that does this and its not for the better! it makes 0 sense!
As and Aussie player I feel you but because of the smaller player base I am not sure this would be a good thing. I am all for prioritising finding match making games with good connections but I don’t want to wait forever for a game with a good connection.

yes but there are alot of players from uswest, i would love the option to have a check a box which enforces find match 250 ping or under
(tick/check box for optimum connection)
That would be ideal then its entirely optional, if you chose to use this setting i for one would always use it. I’m sure a lot would and perhaps if i was having trouble finding a game i would turn it off. However i would be willing to wait 10 mins to find a game, i can enjoy.
This obviously isn’t a problem for most of USA and Europe, but im sure there would be players from those countries who would use it and i know aus players and nz would use it and welcome the option
So in a nut shell there is a system in place that already prioritizes based on the data center which has the best ping to you in proximity. It looks for that within ping proximity of you essentially and if anyone in Australia is playing - you will most likely match with them as long as you are within reasonable ranking. If not - and the ping is still within acceptable means - it will connect and allow you to play with others.
If this was restricted to a ping cap and nobody was on within that ping range - you simply wouldn’t play at all. I have played games and visited forums where players are yelling at the developers to remove such restrictions so they can match.
I understand your frustration, but this is the current implementation of how it is and we are not looking to change it at this time. Please post the idea for the checkbox in the wishlist and we can add it onto the list of things people are wanting.

Yes the check box would stop any issues with people complaining they want to connect with others, as it would be optional, i would always search first with check box ticked if no success then i would un-tick it.

I definitely agree it would very much help out in your situation. I can’t make promises, but should we do custom settings updates and stuff in the future I will see what we can do about this as I’m sure a lot of people want it who haven’t voiced it.
