i had been playing Halo Mcc on my Xbox One online for a couple of days and all of a sudden today a message appeared while trying to play multiplayer saying “Contacting server. Connecting to transport service. Please wait”
Its been a while an it hasnt changed. I tried searching for a way to fix it and havent find it yet. I had restarted my xbox, loging on and off of the internet, etc.
Does anyone knows how to fix this problem?
If you are running into a Connecting Server message in MCC, try the following:
- Open the Roster -> Click your profile -> Click ‘Change Profile’ - This should log you out. Log back in and you should no longer receive the message

Normally, this does fine. However, from what I’ve read in various forums in the past few hours and experienced personally, this doesn’t seem to currently work. Still worth trying as part of the troubleshooting process, of course. Problem is, this currently appears to be more server-side than client-side… at least from what I can gather.
Within a single day I’ve gone from gaming with friends to getting this “Connecting to transport service. Please wait” for PC on Steam as well. Currently cannot play any of the multiplayer content as intended. I sure hope something helpful comes in this thread across all platforms because the other things I’ve found on google are unhelpful and dated.
I am also getting this. It is stopping me from even being able to do co-op campaign.
This just started to happen to me as well was playing a few hours ago all of sudden I can’t do anything server based… Tf
