I decided to put this in the Legacy Halo forum since I’ve been having this issue while I’ve been playing Halo 3: ODST and Reach on my Xbox One through backwards compatibility. First time I loaded these games up my internet connection worked fine, but I’ve been having issues ever since then.
Loaded up Halo: Reach and played some campaign. Made a little commendation progress and was able to gain credits, profile was signed in and had no issues. The next day, I was still able to sign my profile in, but had issues with my internet connection, even though the wifi signal is showing four bars. Day 3, the Xbox refuses to keep me signed in. It would either prevent me from signing in, or it would sign me in and then automatically sign me out 5 minutes later. I’d test the internet connection and it would say its fine, but it clearly isn’t. Power cycling the console proved to be fruitless.
Not sure what the deal is here. I have a Playstation also, and it connects to the internet just fine from the same location as the Xbox. So my problem is exclusive to my Xbox and I have no idea why. I would know more about what’s going on if it allowed me to test my network connection and speed, but it won’t even let me do that (says it can’t connect to the IP address).
Is there anything else that I could try?
