Congratulations to 343

Halo was the primary reason I bought my Xbox and played it so often. With more information about Halo 4 being terrible (‘sprint for everyone so you can have mobility and an AA’, players being told about weapon drops, etc.) it’s clear that Halo’s future as a competitive FPS is over and Microsoft want to get their hands on a slice of the loadout based gameplay pie. So I’m not buying Halo 4, because I refuse to give you my money for this trash, and none of you at 343 have any clue what you’re doing. Yes, all of you. You’re all totally clueless as to what makes good gameplay that keeps people around.

So I’m selling my Xbox and buying a gaming PC instead, because at least PC gaming isn’t catered to people who refuse to get better.

Congratulations 343, you made me do this and you made Halo die. I hope you’re proud of yourselves.

I think you are the first person to ever post this type of thread. Would you mind telling me how much fun it is to be unique?

Edit: You are literally doing what anyone else would do if they do not like the way a game looks, you are deciding to not buy it. I don’t know why you thought this was worth a whole new thread.

…k bye

I’m to predict one day you will re-buy a Xbox and you will indeed buy Halo 4. But thanks for the heads up that you wont be buying halo 4. I hope you find a game that satisfys you.

If you don’t like the game the way it is, then learn how to program and do it yourself. If not, then get out.

I think that the only bad thing they did was removing the Sangheili from the multiplayer.

Good for you, OP. I wish I could rid myself of the Xbox, but I love Halo’s story too much. If Halo’s multiplayer continues to go down the road it’s been heading since Reach, I’ll just stop paying for Live.

Thank you for your feedback. You can now leave and never return. Nobody will miss you.

Considering all the game changes they are making will likely sell billions of copies of the game(I’m anticipating bigger-than-Reach sales), they won’t miss you. You’re the kind of fan they DON’T want one that complains about gameplay changes before they are even fully explained. Yes, Halo is becoming more casual. The reason is because gaming’s nature is casual- it is a hobby for most people after all. The casual market is where the money is at, and it is where the future of the FPS and gaming in general is moving towards. Sorry for the bad news, and sorry you won’t get to play H4.

Arent you a wonderful bucket full of sunshine… SO why exactly are you informing us of this? I dont really see what you are trying to accomplish besides receiveing hundreds of sarcastic coments…

I wish there was a “like” for these forums

> sorry you won’t get to play H4.

Don’t be sorry about it, I’m not. I’ll enjoy having time for and playing EVE much more than I will with Halo, because the people who develop EVE aren’t trying to casualise the game and make as much money as possible. They value good gameplay and fixing what’s broken rather than squeezing all the milk they can out of the cow, and the community benefits from that.

Halo 4 is full of gimmicks and that’s why I’m not buying it. Cheap, unoriginal, poorly thought out gimmicks. Sprinting is a bad idea. Instant respawn is a bad idea. Not controlling weapon spawns is a bad idea. Armor Abilities returning is a terrible idea.

It’s more sad than anything; sad that I played Halo for a long time and if I had Frankie’s job I (and many people I know) could fix it in an instant, I ccan’t program but I could say what needs doing and it would be glorious. It’s sad that everyone at 343 doesn’t know what they’re doing and they will kill off a great franchise because of it. They may make more money from casualising it, but what it once stood for will be long gone, and so will competitive console FPSs. Which is a great shame.

Sprint is not an ability, anyone can sprint. Weapon drops will be good because the “pros” “wont” be able to get a weapon only because they know where it is… so, you must be really stupid. Oh and… it isn’t the multiplayer that makes HALO what it is goddamit!!!
The storyline is much more important! The multiplayer gets old in two years or so, the storyline never gets old!

> Sprint is not an ability, anyone can sprint

You can’t shoot while sprinting; it slows the game down. To say otherwise is wrong and shows a lack of understanding of gameplay.

Lol so being good at a game shouldn’t give you in-game advantages? You want all the bad players to have as much of a chance of winning as the good players? People like you are exactly who are ruining competitive gaming, you think everyone should be rewarded and you should get a well done medal for everything you do. You don’t want to get better, you want success handed to you on a platter. If games continue to cater to people like you, in 10 years time the pinnacle of gaming will be a screen of flashing colours and explosions with the words ‘you win’ appearing on the screen every time you press a button.

I would first like to agree with this guy^^^^

Second complete waste of a thread. Seems like you need to just drift away now good sir.

Halo fan no matter what!. While you’re trying to be stuck in a chair playing, I will be in my couch having countless hours of fun with H4!

Edit: Agree with the guy who wishes there was a “Like” button on these forums. XD

I think the decision to go to pc is a good one in this case. I have been contemplating it for quite some time, and I think in the near future I’ll end up switching almost entirely to pc games.

moderator, this is highly disrespectful, I would ask that you ban this user and delete this thread. None of you have a -Yoinking!- clue. Theres millions of Halo fans out there, and they all have different opinions, it is VERY hard to please all these players, actually it’s impossible. you try to have a good balance, you try to please them all, but you really just can’t. Theres players who like Halo Reach, they like the direction it’s going, and then theres players who like Halo 3 and want it to return to that style, how can they possible make all of them happy? They can’t. This person needs to grow up, and I seriously mean this, he needs to realize the hard work they put into this. This will be the best Halo, they are doing very good, they are LISTENING to their community.

You know why? Because after Reach came out, the community said “Sprint should be a general ability” and “armor lock should be taken out”, 343 listened to us, and when they actually listen we go on and -Yoink- about it? -Yoink- you OP. -Yoink- YOU.

Okay goodbye. Enjoy spending money on upgrading your PC every six to twelve months. I’ll be on my couch with my spouse enjoying Halo 4. Enjoy your chair.

But I’m going to assume you won’t sell your XBox, and you will in fact buy Halo 4 because no matter now much you may dislike it right now, you’ll want to play it when it comes out to find out for yourself. That is, of course, unless you have a friend that’ll own it.

I have seen so many of these -Yoink- threads I even though that this one was legit, what the hell was I thinking, kid you ain’t special so -Yoink- off if you don’t like it.
