Mint 2hitz is a serial smurfer that will literally quit lobbies that arenāt full of noobs for him to dunk on, far as Iām concerned good on 343i for prematurely ending his pathetic attempt at a social media career.
what the hellās been going on around here?
There are a million things about this game that make it sweatier, while also being more cheesey. The reticle size, grenades, radar size, footsteps/enemy sounds. I could go on, but Iāve said it so many times, itās tiresome.
So youre applauding 343i for making a bad matchmaking experience? Are you really gonna let your hatred for Mint blind you to the fact that you just did that?
You do realize that the over arching theme of the post has evaded you if thats all you think this post is about. Iām using Mints experiences with matchmaking to bring up the point that 343 made a bad matchmaking system. Full stop. Literally, his name only shows up in the title, and the post itself does nothing to mention him.
What are you talking about? Gtfo outta here with that.
Iām not sure why the hate on here for Mint.
I live in aus and therefore am in the pile of bodies that make up his cannon fodder. I have versed him many a times. Some games SBMM matches me agaisnt him with team mates where we collectively stand a chance, some games it doesnāt. (mostly I am referring to Halo Reach though as the current SBMM isnāt the same).
But the REASON why mint is probably smurfing is literally because SBMM makes it impossible to find a game if he DOESNāT smurf. I donāt think people understand this properly, because I have the same issue.
I have been saying it for ages, but I donāt think that people realise that the SBMM that is in Halo Infinite and that was in Halo 5 makes it so that matching actually does not happen if you are too high on your SBMM and the population is low. (oceania has a terrible player count)
I am not that good and I literally left infinite on for 1 hour in the middle of the day and didnāt match. So I completely understand why mint would make smurf accounts⦠I did the same and guess what matches!! hurrah.
If I cared enough about playing this game I would intentionally tank multiple games then play a good one⦠I did this in Halo 5 for a while⦠until playing halo just wasnt fun enough for the effort it needed to play.
Another trick that works is to party up with a friend that has terrible SBMM rating so that you can find matches. It appears to force SBMM open to match looser.
But itās ok⦠mint is a smurfer that quits games. Even though I have played him and havenāt experienced this when we had a good team that has beaten him⦠but whatever⦠I guess these people know.
Be curious if anyone can prove this.
Also just to clarify to anyone about to call me a noob killer or whatever⦠SBMM usually makes it so that you are the only good guy on your team and collectively the other team is able to even the odds.
I have played with my mate and lost plenty of games where I have gotten 35 kills 6 deaths.
Yeah this form of SBMM might not be fun for the rest of the population. But having the populace have 1 in 10 games where the SBMM range is larger means that people at the top and bototm of the bell curves can actually play a game.
Or they need to make it so that you can increase the server count and at least mint could play against a higher populace region. (even with bad ping). Something needs to be done because I can tell you that I literally cannot play infinite even if I wanted to in itās current state.
Having a SBMM system that factors ping in so that you are matched fairly would be good as well. As usually you are playing against similar SBMM players that trounce you when you are on 200ms ping.
This honestly just makes me sad to hear. I shouldve titled the post āCongrats on boxing out all of Australia, 343,ā but maybe its good that i used Mints name cuz it seems to have triggered a lot of people and given this post a little more traction vis a vis the minty controversy.
This is all just a result of 343 forcing competition down our throats instead of just letting it come about naturally, and its so sad because they didnt need to make their game this way. And now because they chose to make the matchmaking strictly sweaty, people like you who still love Halo are left out to dry.
Itās just such a shameā¦
I would be curious to know the facts about what is different bewtween the older games and halo 5 and infinite.
Perhaps the population was just higher then and I never noticed it. But I feel that social vs ranked was a noticeable difference back in the day. Whereas I really donāt think that anyone could say that they can tell the difference now. They both match the same as far as I can tell.
Been a common problem with MCC too. Not surprising that Infinite has similar problems now based on the current on-going massive drop in population for Infinite since launch.
I love reading through the arguments. Theyāre hilarious.
People accuse him of smurfing his lobbies but they fail to realize that BTB and Rumble Pit are just like that. Most of the player base are dog awful at this game. Even Iām over here getting killtastrophies and I consider myself average at best.
Canāt believe someone made the argument ātheyāre all standing still.ā
Like maybe theyāre afk?
Iām actually done now. They fix sbmm for one day and have now completely undone it. Back to constant onyx lobbies. Iām done. Later.
YOUāRE Onyx with an over 2.0 kd, what exactly are you hoping to find?
In social? A casual and more social experience? Rather than an Onyx filled sweat fest exactly the same as ranked.
I do not play the same way in social as I do in ranked, in any halo game prior to this. This game forces me to play the exact same way. Iāve tried taking my foot off the gas, I end up going massively negative.
Bungie actually understood that this was a video game, not a competitive sport. 343 do not. Just because somebody is capable of playing a certain way does not mean that they want to do that all the time. Sometimes I just want to load in to a H3 lobby and try to do impossible trick shots across the map. If i tried that in infinite Iām 4 shotted in 2 seconds.
If you were around during h3 days you would know exactly what Iām talking about without me having to sit and type it all out. Back when gaming was actually fun.
The player numbers speak for themselves. Halo doesnāt have anything to offer as a form of entertainment any more. It is trying to force competitive people in to addiction, thatās it.
What we need is old school multi team. Btb has loose SBMM, as did halo 3 MT. It was the ultimate goof off playlist.
I cant even go into social as a solo without getting annihilated.
Im onyx and can hold my ownā¦but not against teams and no communication from randy teammates.
Its not fun at all. I despise playing this game solo but have no one to play with bc my entire halo 5 spartan company comprised of 100+ players hate this game lol.
I think mintz has a problem of being super high player with a small player base.
So calling for SBMM as the cause of his problems really isnāt the issue at heart.
Its the population heās trying to play with. He even says in his videos, when he leaves a party, his friends finds games almost instantly.
Because the skills based model is like a pyramid, and unfortunately, heās at the top with a small population. And thatās what your seeing in his games, heās smoking everyone, so heās having a good time, but adversely affecting the experience of the other players because they canāt compete at his level.
So itās the needs of the many vs the needs of the few or the one.
Some tweaking is needed because a social playlist where SBMM isnāt a thing to play with your friends to goof around, is missing.
But on the flip side, if mintz was consistently playing with his skill level, the chances of him getting killionaires by the dozens would drop. So yay?!
