Yep just made a thread myself because the game is running worse than ever for me tonight. Stuttering and a bunch of in-game latency issues worse than usual (I didnât think it was possible). 343 has to be one of the worse developers of this year so far, their effort or lack of is utterly disgusting.

take a look at Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as an example. They solved this issue in a smart way, they just added a simple slider that allows the player to set the âMax Acceptable Pingâ. just like setting your Max Acceptable FPS. 343 Implement this feature already to save your game! its so easy. No changes whatsoever are required to the matchmaking system.
I personally have been very impressed with the changes. Iâve only once gone over 100 ping.
Game has been running awesome for me over the last couple of days.
Longer wait times to get into games⌠but pretty much every one is 25ms. And the games I get that are a bit slower (90-180ms) still feel responsive.
Probably a co-incidence but went on a bit of winning streak and have moved from Diamond 2 to 3 (personal best). But Iâm sure the run of games on a good connection were a big contribution.
Havenât had anything over 200ms for a while now.
Has to be because itâs a different sandbox with many many more items going on all at the same time.
If anything youâre trying to cancel their views to get things fixed

That clip reminds of being forced to play Halo5 on US servers. Not like 343i to mess up the net code and servers is it?
it almost feels like their geofiltering fix caused some kind of backlash where the matches connect to people that would normally be filtered or something lol
Nah what you have their is blatant old skool lagâŚand that could be caused by many things but if your connection checks out ok then itâs most likely the net code and/or servers.
I wouldnât rule out players being thrown on to servers half way across the world though as thereâs lots of complaints about that on here since last week, and I can confirm that the game has been throwing me on Dallas (115ms) and Washington DC (85ms) servers even though Iâm based in the UK.
it was saying around 70, which is usually what I get when I play on West Coast servers, but the ping and the weird packet loss werenât coinciding

Yeah I wouldnât say that was ping relatedâŚitâs far too extreme to be latency or desync. It looks like straight up lag and packet loss to me. Have you checked your connection and cables at home to at least rule out issues at your end?
yeah its not my end, my download is a steady 200+ and my upload is between 20-25
Yeah sounds like thereâs greater issues at play thenâŚletâs face it, itâs not beyond the realms of possibility that the numpties at 343i have opened another can of worms and created another server side mess with last weeks update. Theyâve obviously screwed up matchmaking and thereâs loads of complaints about lag and high ping since too.
Iâve been playing Halo MCC all week because the background weekly reward was beyond pathetic, but also I am so absolutely tired of being booted from games, having lag out the -Yoink!-, and just being frustrated with the state of Halo Infinite.
So, tonightâŚfoolishly I decided to give BTB a shot and see if I could get into a game and have fun.
Ironically, I got into the game and was having a blastâŚuntil I got booted out the game less than 5 minutes into it.
343âŚyou guys just suck.

have you tried checking to make sure you donât have any apps going in the background that stress your computer? I started making sure that certain things are turned off when I play and it made a world of difference. There are good videos on youtube that explain it better
