Those two series with Optic Gaming and Faze Clan were the most entertaining competitive Halo I’ve seen. Incredibly talented players on both teams.

Sometimes I feel it was scripted - but it was entertaining. But I just think it’s how halo plays and why the games so addictive. It’s always been built to have close affairs.

I only got to catch the grand finals, but it was pretty darn good. Happy to see Snakebite and crew in contention again

Optic doesn’t look like they’re going anywhere anytime soon though tbh. Every one of those four have a chance to flip a series, and Lucid is showing why he won MVP last year.
I wouldn’t be surprised if SSG ends up finding their stride though. Three of those guys were the force to beat in H5 for a while.

I’m happy to see Bound doing pretty well I’m Infinite. He was really starting to break out when comp H5 was reaching its end.

Honestly, almost every single match was so excruciatingly close that it could have gone either way.
Nothing is more evident than that than Faze pulling out the win on KOtH streets while down a hill, optic with a full rocket launcher, and zero seconds on the clock! Just one of 12 amazing matches between the two.

Only watched the final but it was excellent. The commentators do a great job which helps with the excitement too.
Like for dramatic effect… I don’t think it is…. With the way it played out though and the moments of madness it was like a movie not real life.
I put it down to good game design - yes great skill by the players but overall halo has close finishes happen all the time. It’s why people like the game so much. Drama! Bungie created a monster.

I was rooting for SSG too. I can’t believe the SSG squad went all of Season 1 making it to the grand finals and event 1 they end up taking 3rd place. Time to bounce back for the next event!
My money was on Optic, that squad is going to be difficult to beat. It’s been less then a year since Pistola ‘retired’ and I miss watching the Wizard in action already.
I was sweating there for a little bit when Faze and Optic faced each other the first time but then Optic pulled the reverse sweep out of no where! That was some incredible gameplay from both sides.
I think the Twitch Drops for “Death Hex” look really cool too. Of course, there were still some technical issues here and there but overall, I think the event went rather well.
