Congrats on The New Meta

Really gotta love the new meta, there’s literally no point in using any infantry nor ground forces anymore. Simply build air units, click or use your controller to make them circle around a base, and flee, along with your buddies doing it, and there’s no way to counter it! If your doing 3v3, just build air units, no point in using ground units anymore.

I’m a Forge main, and surprisingly, my Grizzlies can’t even compete with a Wraith now, so that’s a fun fact. I thought UNSC had better units then Covenant, but alas I am wrong. Wolverines aren’t even effective against air, which I’m more puzzled that the rock paper scissor formula’s being ignored.

TLDR; If you’re playing 3v3, just build air units or main Anders and harass the enemy base, that’s the new meta. Most players don’t even know about it, so take advantage of it!

For me, I’ll come back when the core of the game is adhered to, until then, enjoy this new meta!

Kinsano jackrabbit air?

What are you doing allowing them to get mass air??
mass infantry units and attack their air pads, if you don’t think you can do it quick enough transition into anti air units and storm across the map.

ive beaten 3 players who gone for rabbit rush into air units all three failed - rush them to force units out to prevent them affording air units.

Why not just play the same strategy? If you want to win easily, you have to play what’s strongest. Just be better at that particular strategy than your enemy. Or don’t I’m not your Halo mum.

You’re a forge…having issues with air. Keelah…

A: Don’t let your foes build up to tech 2 and throw out a full population of ANYTHING, ever.
B: AA: Turrets make a mess of air now days, buying you time to get your army there
C: As a forge you can pump wolverines at stupid speeds
D: Wolverines do kill air armies, what are you doing wrong?

My sentinels are eaten by wolverines very fast, and they cannot kill bases even near as fast before nerf, and they can’t even out run wolverines anymore.

Which proves the ‘new meta’ OP is talking about isn’t really there. Thought I already made that pretty clear.

so wolverines still need a buff I agree, although slightly!!! But reavers are awesome anti air.

No with that being your only post it made it sound like you was complaining about it. In hindsight, I see your point!

Don’t know what game mode you play or what rank you are (it doesn’t show in your service record).

But I’ve literally not once have I faced someone doing air units and circling my bases. You need to learn how to counter air.

Scout them all the time.

You haven’t played enough to even know the new Meta. Forge can pump out wolves so freaking fast with his speed up machine leader power/ armory unit build speed upgrades. I had a Anders play against me saw his sentinel army coming and 2-3 mechanic shops pumped out wolves so fast

Lol. You can’t mass air against anyone half decent. Just take early game units and go to a players base. They won’t be able to mass air because you will what they are building.

Scout early and scout often. Find the expos and knock them down. This is RTS law. Abide by it and you are fine.

So you are also insinuating that I Dominant I’s video on countering a sentinel rush is impossible? Well he did it so that argument is the same as this one and he disproved it with a video so this argument is toast as well.

Video You just need to get better at countering and don’t get overly angry at loosing. It’s how you get better.

But that’s for 1v1.

The game isn’t balanced well enough for 2v2 or 3v3. A decent team building jackrabbits and sentinels will win every game, even if their opponents know exactly what they’re up against. Fast teching to level 2 doesn’t work as the sentinels will fly in and kill your unit production buildings before you are able to amass any reasonable army (garage for wolverines, barracks for cyclops). Spamming marines to prevent the sentinels will just make the sentinels hang back while they are dealt with by the jackrabbits. Fast expansion is suicide. And anything in between will negatively impact your economy enough that even if by some miraculous chance you can survive the rush, you will eventually lose because of the damage you sustained.
