Just wanted to congratulate Bravo on joining the team for Halo4. Seeing one of our own as community head is great and really restores my faith in 343.
So Bravo:
Congrats man! You are the guy Halo needs right now. There is nobody better in any of the communities or 343 for this job, you really deserve it. Although I’m sorry your youtube career is done for now (but I’ll stayed subbed just in case) it’s great to see you moving on to bigger and better things. Good luck sir!
To the community:
Please respect this guy. We need him and Halo needs him. He is responsible, down to earth, and really seems to understand all aspects of Halo. This is the best chance Halo4 has at becoming the best game in the series.
Being a community guy has nothing to do with fixing Halo 4. It just means he does interviews, and videos, and talks to people.
Bravo SHOULD be put in a Multiplayer Balance position (like Sage in Halo Reach, though Bravo would do a much better job there) where he can actually say “Alright guys, we need to fix this game, and I have ideas”.
I’m very happy to see a balanced player such as Bravo taken on board at 343i, especially as he’s MLG experienced and in favour of loadouts/ordnance etc. So it’s not just MLG all the way, he’s open to default Halo as well.
He is one of the few players that can link the two worlds of MLG and default Halo while expressing himself maturely and respectfully.
That’s the sort of open minded but competitive person in nature this game needs.

You are incorrect:

His job is actually doing what you said. I wasn’t around for the release of Reach or Sage, but I believe Bravo will do an excellent job. As long as he can handle the negativity inherently coming his way.
> Who is Bravo?

This man. He is an ex-MLG pro and MLG coach. He has been playing Halo for a long time on the Pro circuit and is one of the most respected players in the MLG community.
While he is a competitive player at heart, he also loves the lore and universe of halo and has a healthy respect for the casual side of gaming. Go watch his videos and make your own opinion.
I actually like Bravo, hope he actually does a good job.

In your OP you said he was Community Head, not Associate Producer.
Very hopeful he helps 343 fix a few things fast…
And i think he is a good guy for the job. Although i would have liked it
Associate Producer is the actual title to his job but in affect he’s the Community Head. If you read the description his main job is to interact with the community and apply that feedback, but he has a little more power than that.

Well, I’m pretty sure he’s the guy that will get a good set of gametypes in, and get them to nerf the DMR and Boltshot in a way that balances with the other options.
I really hope they standardize loadouts in BTB so you can’t spawn with a Plasma Pistol too (and make it, say, an Ordinance Drop weapon?
So 343 finally decided to drop some one to the wolves?
Took them long enough.

Have faith in him
Although removing the plasma pistol from the loadouts is a bit extreme we can expect many much needed changes emigrating from him.
I’m proud of him.
And, he is most definitely one of the best people to bridge any gaps between casuals, Pros, and 343i.
This is great news for everyone.
Our last best hope. For things to change in Halo 4.

It’s alright in 4v4s, where the vehicles are rare, and even on the odd map that has them, few players will give up their Boltshot for it. But in BTB it’s your vehicle vs 8 Plasma Pistols, it’s not an even fight in the slightest.
Obviously he is not going to have a ton of power, but he can probably take some of the community ideas to the big heads of 343i, especially if related to the playlists.
Anyways, congrats Bravo!
You will be missed as a coach!

The plasma pistol does need a slight adjustment or nerf, but removing it from the loadout is too extreme IMO. Otherwise the vehicles will become too powerful, I’ve already played a few games where the other team didn’t pull out this counter and I did very, very well.
But we’re kinda derailing the thread here, lol.

Halo Reach survived without the Plasma Pistol, the DMR, BR, LR and Carbine all do mad anti-vehicle damage, and you get Plasma Grenades to stick them with. It’s just too much to add a free EMP to the mix. Vehicles were never a problem back in Halo CE/2/3 when you spawned with a BR, Magnum, and Frag Nades and had to get creative, so why do we need all these crutches to lean on now?
