Confused if I'm flighting right. PC vs Xbox

So like any fanboy, I wanna have a go at one of these flights / Beta.

History is… big player Halo 1 - 3 and Reach historically. Haven’t been back to Halo since but in any scenario, I WILL get infinite.

Problem is this flighting.

So I’m Ex Xbox. I still have my gold account plus the fancy thing where you get free games BUT I game on PC.
I can play a lot of my titles via PC now but I have all the Xbox app / hub / gold+ etc.
Most my PC games are steam, blizzard, zenimax etc.

I’ve had an invite (before last weekend) via my Xbox dashboard on PC saying I was accepted for flighting.
BUT I cant use it. It’s clearly linked to my Xbox account on the assumption I have an Xbox one or better. I only have a 360.

As explained. I play on PC now. I just have all my Xbox accesses still.
So I followed the online website about signing up for PC flighting. Fine.
But
Since I had this invite via my Xbox account and I’m not getting anything via email / Halo Waypoint messages for PC, I’m thinking somethings up.
I believe I have to just put up with being PC only and that’s a little vaguer on the likes of when flighting will happen / selected at random.
I don’t mind if that’s the case and I’m just getting unlucky being a PC dude now.

My worry is that somehow my preferences are wrong and I’ll only get invited to the Xbox version which I cant accept and that for this reason I won’t ever get a PC invite.
Am I wrong? Is anyone in the same scenario as me but got an invite for PC? etc etc

There’s really no info anywhere googlable on this and I cant find anything in Waypoint. It seems the PC info (online) on this flighting is minimal at best and never answers questions that I presume are easy to answer like this.

PS my flighting is setup correct in that I put no to console and yes to PC.
I’m also not sure, when it comes to the full game whether my process of DL or buying or what have you should be Steam or somehow via Xbox dashboard and maybe if I’m following the right route to setup the flighting, again potentially being a cause of no invite for me.

Don’t wanna think I’m missing flights due to any of the above and the fact I had an Xbox invite without having an Xbox One+, where it should be PC invite.

Can someone help?

Sorry to bump.

Forums are clearly busy so my query is getting lost but just wanting an answer from someone in same scenario.
Or
A dev (if they view these forums).

It’s actually really straight forward. You should have not clicked “opt in for Xbox flighting”

If you had not clicked the box for xbox flighting and ONLY clicked the PC flighting, you would have not gotten the xbox part in the first place.

That being said. The current flights have concluded…No clear information if there will be any more.

But I haven’t opted in for Xbox.

I chose PC in flighting but I have received a msg via Xbox which I viewed on my PC which redirects me to the app on my Xbox, which I don’t have.
Not sure how to add screen shot but I’m opted in for PC, opted out for console?

This is my worry, is this a bug?

As said, I understand if being PC I’ve got luck of the draw on an invite but the invite on Xbox has me worried somethings screwed up and I won’t ever get invited on PC because of it.

Fair enough if there’s no more anyway but we don’t know that for sure I’m betting there will be more before release. I don’t think anyone but the administrators of the service would be able to check this out for me :frowning:

Just would have been nice to see someone have the same experience as me but confirm they got an invite on PC after also getting one via Xbox dashboard on PC.
