Confused by 343/C.A.'s decisions for Forge/CG

I felt like Halo 4 was pretty good IMO. I haven’t finished Campaign but it’s cool, and Multiplayer is pretty fun. Yet I’m so confused as to why they restricted and limited Forge and Customs so much.

Honestly, I was very disappointed with it but hopefully it can be improved on. Farcry 3’s trailer for the map editor looked amazing and has much more tools to create unique maps and even Trials, an arcade game, has a much better map editor than Halo 4’s…

We have much smaller maps now that can’t compare to Reach’s Forge World, precision editing is gone, magnets are annoying and make it harder to make maps quicker, less options and tools to make maps unique and the custom games options… sooo restricted limited.

Instead of having a thread going on and on complaining, I just wanted to hear your guy’s opinion as to why 343 and Certain Affinity did this to Forge and Customs, keeping quiet about it, and if they will listen to us and improve on it in future DLC

Wow, this thread died real quick isn’t anyone wondering why they decided to do what they did to Forge and CG?

its surprising to me, because if i were a dev or publisher the one sure fire way to keep my fans happy is to give them all the tools to make their own content and to play the game that they want to play, does this not make sense?

There is a thread showing that game types were not affected. The maps seem small at first, but you have to see how much sky space there is everywhere (except Ravine).

I don’t understand what you mean. There are thrice as many themes to every item than before.
