Hey there! Just for the record, my gamertag is Nano Genie; I forgot my windows live ID/pass for that gamertag soooo yeah, I had to make another.
On to the thread:
Recently I decided to start playing Arena. Now, I’m an average player. I only have a 1.2 KD because I played horribly the first months of Halo Reach. I last played March 2nd 2012, and decided to start playing again in August. From 8/8/12 to now (8/15/12), I’ve:
- Had an average +5.78 spread per Arena game. Never quit an Arena game.
Have a 1.66+ K/D and 1.93+ KA/D in the past 7 days (started playing Arena again on 8/10/12, so technically 5).
1 Perfection in Arena.
Yesterday I had a 1586 daily rating and today a 1630. The two days before were both 1560-1660, I forget exactly what, while the first day was only 1470 something. I’ve only played 5 days and 32 games.
I always play alone - don’t have a team to play Arena with lol. Basically, I ended up with Iron Division today. Now, I looked at other players who had bronze, and their stats were nowhere near mine. They were all lower (not trying to brag here, just confused), almost always below a 1.0 K/D for their past 7 days. I also noted a silver with lower stats, so now I’m extremely confused as to why I was placed in the Iron Division.
If anyone can explain how divisions are processed once a player has been rated 5 days that’d be great. I was honestly thinking I’d at least get into silver lol.
tl;dr version:
1470-1660 ratings past 5 days, +5.78 average spread per game, 1.66+ K/D and 1.93+ KA/D in Arena Season 12. Always play alone, 50% w/l, played 5 days and was placed in Iron Division. Extremely confused - if you could explain division placement mechanics, that’d be great.
I don’t mean to complain if it looks like I’m complaining; I’m not saying I should be in top 5% onyx or some ridiculous crap, I’m simply curious as to why I was placed in Iron. I mean it’s not like I suck :?
What I’m thinking could possibly help:
Play more games.
Win more games (get a team?).
… that is all for now. Obviously playing better will help, but I think I’ve been playing better than an Iron.
