Mission 1, searching for Halsey-- Osiris - Mission 2, Blue Team – Blue - The Battle of Sunaion – Osiris
The E3 demo and the Vidoc both came with plenty of small clips here and there. Certain clips show very different settings, meaning 2 different levels. Others only show slight differences in lighting or terrain, meaning it is hard to tell if both depict the same level.
Different settings clearly shown in glimpses
Sanghelios Sunny Ruins – Osiris (Note: I can’t tell if this setting is actually 2 levels) - Turbines and Gloomy Skies – Osiris (Some shots show a red sky, others overcast. The turbines confirm it is the same setting) - Kamchata, snowy area – Osiris (could possibly be mission 1 since Halsey appears in a snowy setting) - Grassy spot with Guardian in background-- Blue (Only one shot of this in the last minute of the Vidoc. Since Blue team is in it I’ll list this as “clearly shown” Speculated levels, REPEAT: SPECULATION
The stuff here are pure speculation. There are either only a few shots of this setting or it could easily be a repeat of earlier levels that have been listed. NOT CONFIRMED
Sanghelios Sunny Ruins seem like it can be more levels. In one scene with the Mantis, I can’t tell if it is a different time of day or it if things are simply in the shadow of a canyon. It also seems like some areas are more ‘desert like’ and others more grassy. - Meridian Delve. There are 2 scenes of Mgalekgolo forming from Lekgolo worms. One is from the level Blue Team. The other takes place in an area that looks a lot like the concept art Meridian Delve. I strongly believe Turbines and Gloomy Skies takes place on the same world, but I can’t tell if it is two levels or one. - Orangey Forerunner ship, We have one scene of this with Osiris, near the end of the Vidoc. Could be a whole new level, could be one part of a previous level - GI article also mentions and Osiris level with a mining station on lock down. Could be referring to Meridian Delve and/or Turbines and Gloomy Skies, could be a new level. Probably the former - As mentioned earlier, Kamchata, snowy area could be Mission 1 since Halsey is present. Of course simply seeing Halsey behind Jul doesn’t mean it is indeed Osiris’ search mission. we also fight a giant walker in Kamchata, Snowy area, unlikely for a level 1. These are more likely separate missions. - Levels shown in trailers. During the E3 briefing, we do see something like an in game look at Locke in the human city with chief’s statue. The 2013 E3 teaser and the ending cinematic of H2A also shows a desert area. Could be Sanghelios Sunny ruins, also an Osiris level.
At least 6 different levels exist, 4 of which are Osiris levels. We also know for a fact that Blue Team levels and Osiris levels are roughly equal in number. There are then a minimum of 8 levels in Halo 5, excluding prologues and epilogues.
Mission 1 and Kamchata Icy Assault are probably different levels. I am also fairly certain Orangey forerunner ship, Meridian Delve and the human city from the Hunter Hunted trailers are new levels too. Assuming speculation is correct, then we will have 7 Osiris levels and hence 7 Chief levels at the very least.
Confirmed Levels:4 Osiris, 2 Blue Team Confirmed minimum number of levels: 8 levels in total
SPECULATED Level Count: 7 Osiris, 7 Blue Team, 14 levels
UPDATED TO FIT FRANKIE’S STATEMENT AT COMIC CON AND TRAILER LEVELS
Just to clarify, the first level of the game has been confirmed to be with Fireteam Osiris searching for Halsey. I believe Frank mentioned something about that at Comic Con.

one level is set in a desert area (shown the the chief cloaked trailer and him meeting a guardian in 2013)
another level is set in a human city with a master chief statue (shown in the locke and chief ad, as well as the e3 conference trailer having locke talking to a statue, leap ahead I blieve it was called)
so that is two more regions to add to your list. I find it hard to believe that the game only spans 3 planets if it has the desert area and human city chief statue area as well.

Trailer environments hardly ever turn out to be actual missions in the game. I don’t think there has ever been a mission directly adapted from any of the Halo live action trailers or “year before” E3 trailers (that is to say the very first E3 showing, when the game is still in very early stages of development).

Halo 3’s, ODST’s and Halo 4’s all did, though I agree that it seems a bit unlikely the exact events as they are in the trailer will play out, the location in the original Halo 5 trailer is completely unique compared to the environments we’ve seen so far, with many believing that it’s the Ark. This remains to be seen of course; than there’s the human city depicted in concept art that Frankie said is a major location.

Halo 4 definitely didn’t, and I don’t think 3 or ODST did either. But maybe we’re thinking of different trailers. I did say “live action trailers and ‘year before’ E3 trailers”. As far as I recall, none of the live action trailers depict scenes that actually take place in the games.
I however do think the human city in the Hunter Hunted trailers is part of a new level. In the Xbox E3 Jump ahead trailer, we do see Locke next to the Chief statue. I can’t tell if this is a standalone render for this trailer or if it means this is actually a level within Halo 5.
I would also like to add we only have seen 6 different settings that can be distinguished as different levels. Since 4 or them are Locke levels, it brings the minimum number of levels to be 8, even though we have not seen any other Blue Team missions. Meaning even if we do see actual footage of another Blue team level, it won’t affect the confirmed minimum number of levels.
Sounds about right. halo CE had 10, but 2 betrayals was just AotCR backwards and most of The Maw is a retread of tPoA. Halo 2had 13, but its essentially 7 missions 6 of which were cut in half. Halo 3had 9, but floodgate was just the storm in reverse. Halo Reach had 9, but The Package is mostly a retread of ONI sword-base Halo 4 had 8.
