When I play from 12 GMT - 18 (6pm) GMT I can hardly find any games in FFA or Slayer if I put the search preference on balanced. Im high diamond in both of them.
The problem is, if I put it on expanded I just cant enjoy playing Halo, cause 99% you will play vs players from North America and to play on their servers as European is beyond annoying, the weird latency you have is a big disadvantage. Your shots arnt as accurate, grenades have this weird latency, headshots have this weird latency.
So if the only solution is to play on Expanded. Im probably dont with Halo even though ive been playing halo couple of hours almost every day.
Does anyone else has this problem from Europe?
ps. I have fast internet im from Holland: 30 download / 10 upload.
Sorry for your luck I would try to join a group of European gamers- I know there’s a lot of Spartan Companies out there dedicated to the region but I’m sure there are other groups as well. Try to party up with them I suppose?

Thanks, actually im trying this, Im messaging people from Europe if they wanna team up, most of them dont respons, i found some tho. But I dont think that should be the solution. Is halo that DEAD that there arnt any players?

I can’t really theorize. Not to rub salt in your wound, but I’m in America and have never had a problem matchmaking in any playlist. I’ve had good luck with http://www.halolfg.com/ , though again I can’t testify the presence of Europeans.
Yes, i have problems finding games too and when i find them i just play 1 or 2 and i turn off the xbox, i dont really enjoy the game anymore
My internet is 100 mb not using wifi.

What’s your ping? Ping is infinitely more important than internet speed. There’s not much difference between 10 and 100 mb as far as gaming goes, as far as I know.
Just because 2 playlists don’t have many players, doesn’t mean the whole game is dead. I can still find many players in the UK on Warzone, Infection and others.

Do you understand that if Slayer & FFA dont have any players in Halo, that that is a big issue? Hope you understand that and dont say what you just said again.

No it isn’t, what is logical is that Microsoft and 343 Industries being so heavily invested in the Halo franchise should also be invested in its community… after all when the dust settles, they need money to continue… So a serious, foundation and permanent solution needs to be made.
In EU since few weeks we have 6 Azure’s datacenters, before they were only two.
Try to guess how many new datacenters is using this game… If your answer is NONE OF THEM, congrats. (Some Netduma user confirmed this).
Honestly, I hear this a lot from players. It makes me sad how 343I/MS have completely screwed over (for lack of a better word) people living over there. Im sorry but it’s true. North America, Britain and somewhat Australia seem to be the only places where it works pretty good.
This is a other reason why LAN should come back. At least then people can have LAN parties again and invite there friends over…or even host local tournaments. I remember going to some during Halo 3, Reach and even one for Halo 4. Just Because The Internet Is Here doesn’t mean people don’t like playing over LAN anymore.
Yeah Halo seems to have gone from bad to worse. I can usually find Slayer games on focused in the evenings, but need to set it to balanced or expanded later on. And for some playlists like FFA and Warzone Assault, I always need to use Expanded at any time of the day, else I just won’t get a game.
Playing FFA on expanded is disgusting, I get robbed left right and centre. Usually I’ll have something like 12 kills, 25 assists and 20 deaths… just keep getting assist after assist even though I empty entire clips into one shot spartans. The game is broken beyond repair imo, and just isn’t as much fun as it used to be.

When you see that Microsoft has tripled the number of servers in EU, that the game is using only the two older ones and none of the new ones (I asked some netduma users, they confirmed this unfortunately) you can see how the developer care about european players…

For example im searching in team Arena right now (1 pm GMT+1) and I cant find any games. Thats insane, team arena should never be this low on population, kinda scary actually.
Im from GMT +8 not sure which servers im connected to. All i know is theres a large population of players around my area haha
