I don´t know if someone ever realized that the condor design scks, i mean is a huge pelican with huge weapons. 343 could have done better than that, like putting a frigate instead of giant pelican, i don´t know if someone has any thoughts about this.

It is explained as bigger class of the Pelican that is designed and able to travel through slip space as well as be a much beefier version of the standard pelican gun ship versions. It wasn’t a made up unit for this game as it already existed in the lore.

The condor as a dropship makes sense there are many designs of real life aircraft which looked similair despite size differences between two classes [c130 being in the same family and looking similair to a c-5] so thats not really unbelievable

The standard Condor is just a longer bigger pelican. The Condor Gunship however is only on the SoF. This is because it brake numerous UNSC regulations and is probably why it looks the way it does. I think it’s meant to look like a bit of a hatchet job. Normally the UNSC would have proper weapons companies like Hannibal and Misrah Armouries which actually build the standard Condor spend billions of credits and many years fine tuning a design. The SoF only has one logistics AI and a bunch of technicians and engineers that are 28 yrs behind the latest tech. So while I agree it looks ungainly it makes sense that it does.

The design is a retrofitted condor dropship. They’re just using what they have and a frigate would be equal to or large in size than the spirit of fire.
In the other hand, i think it kind of scks that you have to invest leader points to unlock leader special units, i mean, you should be able to build them without investing any leader points.
I actually liked the inclusion of the Condor. It’s design is quite close to the Halo 4&5 pelican. It’s a way for Halo Wars 2 to balance out the Bungie and 343 art styles for the series. Have you noticed that the Elites look agile and slender like they did in the original trilogy? Or that the in-game pelicans also use their old design? It’s a great mix of old school call back while still blending with modern Halo games.

I love it. I think it is great, and unites both art styles. It is a ‘new’ addition to Halo Lore from Nightfall, and looks like a mix between both art styles.
As well as this, it balances them both out. We got the old pelican we’ve been wanting, 343 have got their new flagship-ship they want to show off to us.
It also has a used, yet new feel to it. Which is spot on, since it is then just like the nature of the SoF!
